Try using a high octane fuel. The fact that you're hearing this noise going uphill, under load, and than goes away, sounds more like pre-ignition rather than a valve adjustment. Also, an engine with that much mileage most likely has a carbon buildup. A well equipped shop should have machinery to decarbonize the engine. Good luck.

I'm very surprised that a Lexus technician would tell you this, because he was totally incorrect!! The blower fan is only used when in the cooling/ventilating position, whereas the heating position uses heating elements to warm the seats. It's true that the seats and seatbacks don't get as hot as some other auto manufacturers seat heaters. In the cooling position, that is also very mild.

Awww......don't feel too bad. Actually, I only show this feature to impress people, but I hardly use it. Think of it this way.......how many times are you going to sit in your parked car to watch a DVD?

You can't do that. The DVD Navigation slot is used strictly for Navigation system software. and NOT to play DVD Videos.

Why should he tell you where he lives? You have to tell us where YOU live first. :P

I might add......the DVD will play audio and video if the parking brake is engaged, but it will continue to play audio only if you disengage the parking brake. ;)

Spoke to my dealer.........as of yet NO panoramic roof available on any packages except the UL models, on special order. So far, NO ML audio on any of the 2010 ES's delivered to my dealer. (Bay Ridge Lexus). Where did you get your information from? BTW: This holds true for cars delivered to the Wahington D.C. area. ;)

UL only available by special order with a 3 month wait. The shame of it all is you can't get the panoramic roof on any models except for the UL. :(

I guess Lexus changed their option packages, because that was not offered in the '07-'08 models. In fact my dealer has never seen this package on the Northeast Coast in the '09 ES. Well......after my last post I checked the West Coast packages (Los Angeles), and sure enough the ML systems were offered in the 2 out of 3 packages. I could not locate any dealers in the USA that offered the Ultra Luxury ES350's. They have to now be special ordered, and that takes almost 3 months for delivery.

I guess Lexus changed their option packages, because that was not offered in the '07-'08 models. In fact my dealer has never seen this package on the Northeast Coast in the '09 ES.

Changes for the 2010 ES350 Both the front and rear lights have been revised, along with a new front bumper, new foglights, a new grille. Chrome side molding has also been added. The new-look Lexus side mirrors with integrated turn signals have been added. The standard 17” alloy wheels now have a split five-spoke design. There are four new colors available: Truffle Mica, Peridot Mica, Satin Cashmere Metallic and Cerulean Blue Metallic will replace Moon Shell Mica, Amber Pearl, Aquamarine Pearl, Black Sapphire Pearl and Golden Almond Metallic. Inside, the steering wheel controls have been revised and there is now new wood trim placed in the center console and glovebox. The armrest has been changed to provide easier access and more room. Rear seat side airbags have been added, bringing the total to ten airbags throughout the vehicle. Standard leather-trimmed seating is available in three colors including Parchment which replaces Cashmere. New Brown Walnut wood trim replaces Medium Brown Walnut, while the ES adds Espresso Bird’s Eye Maple trim. The ES will receive an updated Lexus sound system, and will be available with the upgraded 6th generation navigation system, along with iPod integration and Safety Connect & Lexus Enform telematics.

That is correct, but I might add, the only Lexus sound system that includes the DVD feature in the changer is the Mark Levinson system. From my understanding....the only way you can get the Mark Levinson system is in the Ultra Luxury ES350's.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Lexus! On this very day in 1989, opened the dealership doors in the United States, and has since gone on to become the bestselling luxury brand in the country, and the fourth largest luxury car brand in the world.

So I guess that you can't get a new ES350 equipped with a Mark Levinson sound system unless you special order the UL package.

A friend of mine told me the the Ultra Luxury Edition ES350 is only available on special order now, with a wait of 12 weeks. I called my dealer and he verified this fact. Can any of you guys add any additional information on this subject?

It's a weird type of plastic that has some sort of grain to minimize reflections, so I'd really be afraid to experiment with cleaners that are really not designed to handle this type of material. In reality though......it doesn't look that bad after owning this car for over 3 years. Somrthing else.......I just noticed a dart spot on the headliner and I was wondering how to clean that???

It certainly is!!! In fact, I was always wondering how to clean it, but so far I just lightly take the dust off with a terry cloth towel, but it still looks somewhat flaky. :D
