  1. Here is a link to this type of meter> http://www.edtm.com/VP1165-1.htm
  2. If you have 20% tints, and the legal amount is 40%, aren't you still legal?
  3. Then I sure would fight this ticket!
  4. What is the maximum legal amount of window tints in your area? If it is 10%, then that cop, no matter how nice he was is a real ball breaker! A 1% difference...wow! :whistles:
  5. Here are some pictures of this new limo>>> http://www.automobilemag.com/news/0501_geo..._dts_limousine/
  6. Forgive my ignorance......What's a cone filter?
  7. The '05 ES still uses regular fuel. :)
  8. Of course they have to buy an American made car. :)
  9. I'm not sure how your year ES door locks work, but on the '02 and up they lock automatically when you put the shift selector in gear. This is the default setting from the factory........but this can be changed by a Lexus dealer...if you choose.
  10. The only negative I find about your new endeavor, is that you generally drive your prospective customers to see the property. Knowing how carefully you maintain your car, this can be a bummer with people that don't give a s**t, such as slamming the doors, putting their dirty feet on your beautifully groomed carpet, etc, etc. Alan
  11. Are you sure you set the proper zone for your area before you tried to put in addresses?
  12. The simplest way to find out the correct way to adjust the position of your blades is to make a phone call to a Lexus dealer and speak to somebody in the service department. I'm sure they could tell you this information over the phone. :)
  13. wait, so after this, i lower my resolution (since it's set on maximum)??? ← Exactly! You can always reset the original setting if it doesn't work. Also, a lot of these changes in resolution depends on your video card......some allow a few changes, and some don't.
  14. If you read your Owners Manual, all the available changes are spelled out. Alan
  15. Actually, to change the retracted position of the wiper blades in the older ES's was done by repositioning the electrical connector on the wiper motor. It was never necessary to do this by taking off the wiper arm for this repositioning. Alan
  16. The carpeted dash covers help to muffle rattles also.
  17. On the desktop, right click, and on the drop down window, left click properties. This should open the "Display Properties" window, click the "Setting" tab, which will give you access to the changes that you should make. :)
  18. The problem is the car's acoustics. If you take a pair of speakers that sound incredible in the show room and put them into a car, they can sound terrible. At the very least, if I were replacing speakers, I'd have them installed by a shop who could properly equalize them to make up for the acoustics. Then, you have the matter of individual preferences. The Polk speakers might sound great to you, but to me they might be terrible. I can virtually guarantee that the speakers I'd prefer would be far to bright for your taste. Lexus puts a lot of time into selecting speakers for their cars and then balancing the entire audio system. Making arbitrary changes is just as likely to make it worse as to make it better. Best to either do the entire system properly or stick with what Lexus provided. IMHO. ← I agree, 100%.
  19. Maybe you have a bad tank of gas or water in the gas.
  20. I always pay cash 'cause I'm a rich guy. :D :D :D :D :D
  21. I think that Lexus's, as well as most auto manufacturers have at least 2 different types of wiring harnesses, depending on the equipment installed at the factory, because it would be a lot cheaper in the long run to save on the additional cost of the wire. Lot's of cars sold are in very warm climates that have no need of seat heaters. That's why they have Supply Economy type people working for them. :)
  22. Strange, I had a high/low seat heater switch on my '94ES. Also, the factory equipped seat heaters include a heated backrest.
  23. You might have to change the screen resolution and/or color quality on your computer settings to display the images properly on your TV. What type of TV are you using, CRT, LCD, Plasma? I'll give you the details if you don't know how to make these changes. :)
  24. I think your battery is close to the end of it's life, even though it cranks fine now. I think it's good insurance to buy a new battery so you don't get stuck if and when the temperature drops to single digits. As replacement batteries on my '94ES I used the Sears Diehard Gold and got over 7 years of great service before they crapped out. Check with Sears to see what they offer as replacements for your car. P.S. Your car calls for 5W-30 oil, not 5W-20.
