  1. If you have the dealer do this fairly simple job it'll cost a small fortune. Check the price before doing this so you don't go into shock. ;)
  2. Probably the bulb is burned out. Sometimes by giving the top of the dashboard a good shot with your fist it'll start working again. I know this is not very scientific, but it worked for me when a bulb on my dash stopped working. ;)
  3. Check the door's, trunk lid, and sunroof to make sure they're closed.
  4. Wow! You really have it in for Verizon's services, but that's the name of the game, whether it's support for cellphone companies or ANY hi-tech area. I have learned to deal with crappy support......not that I like it.....it's all over the place. You ain't going to change how things are unfolding. Good luck.
  5. Do a search on this website. This problem has been discussed fully many times.
  6. STOPTHISFOOLISHNESSALREADY :chairshot:
  7. Then how come Consumers Reports always rates Verizon heads and shoulders above the rest???
  8. I was lucky when I went down to my Lexus parts counter to replace a couple of lug nuts that were stolen off my '94ES. They sold me 2 of them(used, but in perfect condition) for $5.00. I would ask a dealer if they had any used ones. You could also check this at an auto wrecker. ;)
  9. I can't believe how cheap some people can be! $11.00?? Wow! eBay customers like that need..... :chairshot:
  10. You've got to be nice to your eBay customers, otherwise they could leave you negative feedback on your account. ;)
  11. I should have mentioned in my above illustrated post that this was taken from the 2003 ES300 Owners Manual.
  12. A decent equalizer should cover ALL the ranges from 31.5HZ to 18KHZ......or thereabout. ;)
  13. Personally, I wish you could incorporate a rear camera, so you could see a display on the NAV screen on the ES's. ;)
  14. Nope....the earlier ES's didn't have that feature. I know for sure that the '02 models and up have them.
  15. Man......I didn't know you listened to Hip-Hop. haha :D The frequency curves that you have it set at would be ideal for rock music, but really not too good for classical. But, once again.....whatever floats your boat. ;)
  16. Yes........I'm also eager to find out these magical settings. LOL :D
  17. Whether or not equalizers are used on OEM systems does not change the fact that they're still the best method to fine tune an audio system. It all comes down to how much money a manufacturer wants to spend. Tone controls are much too coarse an adjustment, as far as I'm concerned, especially on a premium sound system.
  18. I really wished that the ML system had a graphic equalizer instead of plain 'ole tone controls. This way I could adjust my sound exactly the way I like it. Tone controls are always a compromise. :)
  19. There is no best setting! Just set the tone controls that sounds best to you. Ideally, if a CD was recorded properly you could leave your tone controls in the "flat" position(middle-Bass, Mid, High). Every recording is mastered differently, depending on how the recording engineer decided it should sound. If the recording sounds 'thin', you could boost each band of frequencies individually until it sounds good to you. ;)
  20. I think you're getting away from the point of this whole thread. I'm sure that most of the complaining owners, including myself, can drive their cars as smoothly as you, but under certain circumstances, when you need to power out in a hurry, and the car balks, and doesn't respond immediately, this is a definite cause for concern. I consider that very dangerous as do other owners.
  21. Really! I find that statement is so inaccurate that I fail to see how you could make it. I find so many instances while driving that people using cellphones drive very poorly. Drifing into other lanes, driving erratically, etc, etc.
