  1. Agreed! Paypal periodically locks people out of their accounts so they can't access their money. ← I've had my PayPal account for over 5 years and never was locked out, except when they were doing work on their website, and when that happened they let you know how long they would be down. ;)
  2. That part is called, "the black undercarriage plastic thingy" that will always crack when you hit a high curb.
  3. Did you ever get the feeling that you're getting ripped off with the astronomical prices that they charge for the simplest parts?
  4. The rubber gasket that holds the PCV valve, on the valve cover is probably dried up and leaking oil. Replace it and your leak will go away. :)
  5. Fuel smells that strong definitely means there IS a leak!! Don't wait to get this taken care of, before your car has an explosion! :chairshot:
  6. An excellent writeup Steve! I read every word and decided to keep my ES.
  7. Oh yeah......it definitely is a simple job.......after watching a Lexus mechanic do it, and also snapping off one of the plastic connectors that holds the black cover to the NAV's computer!!! I ended up using Crazy Glue to fix the connector.
  8. Two more questions. Did you do the upgrade yourself & where did you get the disc from?
  9. I bought this spoiler from http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog.asp?A=...ModelTemp=&idB= The total price w/shipping was, $386.96 My Lexus dealer installed it for, $120.00 plus NYC tax($10.35). Total- $517.31 BTW: The painting on this spoiler was an exact match. (Millenium Silver)
  10. Steve- By any chance would you know the Version of the disc you installed?
  11. I haven't heard ANY satellite radio that sounded great using any kind of FM Modulator, so far. As said before, the ideal way to install these radios is to hard wire into the factory radio. IMO
  12. I don't think the picture shows it on an ES so it's really hard to tell. Also, they fail to mention that you have to get it painted. So, between the price of the spoiler, shipping, and painting, you're looking at more then $100, and for that kind of money I wouldn't want a stick on accessory. <_<
  13. Actually, I live in Great Neck, but I never updated my profile. Where on L.I. do you live?
  14. You are putting your hand over the subwoofer which produces very low frequencies that you feel, rather then hear. If you want to hear it, boost the bass and turn up the volume. This situation is normal though.
  15. I'm in Brooklyn too. By the way, where is your mailbox? heehee :P
  16. No under hood light.......sorry. :cries:
  17. There is always a tradeoff when you change to non OEM brakepads. It all comes down to the coefficient of friction. In other words, if the the pads are made of harder material, then you'll have to apply extra pressure to stop the car, but they'll last longer then OEM pads. On the other hand, if they're soft pads, then the car will stop with less pressure, but they won't last as long. So, that's why I always use OEM pads for replacement.....they give the best balance between brake pressure application and wear. This holds true on ALL cars, not just Lexuses. ;)
  18. I honestly don't think that sdsmi10 would like to pay $10.00 Daily to subscribe to TIS services. That's why they come to this website. :whistles:
  19. It sets up in about 24 hours ....depending on ambient air temperature. To be sure, I would call up 3M to check it out.
  20. Sorry - HELLO ALL! (bad typer) ← You can always edit your posts. All you do is click edit, and you can make any changes you deem necessary, instead of making a separate post. ;)
