Hi Michael and welcome to the LOC. Let us know when you have any questions. Paul
  2. Welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. Please let us know if you have any questions. Paul
  3. We have used a commercial service for several years, and always have a nice yard as long as you get sufficennt rain, or water it often. New sod, such as on a new home constuction needs a lot of water the first year for it to get the roots down deep and established. Again, for new sod, water is key. Most reputable companies will alternate applications of nirogen fertilizer, broadleaf killer, crabgrass preventor, etc. However, I've never heard of any company proposing 9 applications. That sounds like overkill. We have 6 apps .
  4. One thing that has come up from time to time, has been an issue with the drain tubes getting blocked that carry away the water from around the window perimiter. You might ask your dealer to check that out. Paul

    Aloha

Aloha and welcome to the LOC, Given the fact that there are several things that don't work on the car, yet it has resonable mileleage; and also sinse the car is in a totaly different market, it is almost impossible to tell wether that is a good price or not. However, many parts are available for this model, and there are many members on this site who have lots of knowledge to share. Paul
  6. Hello Scott, and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. I'm sorry it's taken one of us so long to get with you but I think we can clear up a few questions. First of all, it is appalling that your Lexus dealer couldn't help you out. Anyone using your owners Navigation User's Manual, could figure this out. The first thing it sounds like you've learned, is that you can only enter adress, destination, route, etc while the car is stoped. However, you can also enter information while the car is in motion using the voice activation feature. This is explained in your owners manual. In terms of POI, the system begins with 4 ways to search by points of interest. i.e., search by name; searby category; search by eDestination. As you follow deeper into those menus, you'll find more and more refined choices to pin-point your destinatio. Since your RXh is a 2012 I'm assuming you still have the one year trial of the "Enform" service. This is a wonderful system that you just push a button on the overhead console and tell the operator where you you need to go, even if you don't have an adress. This you can do while driving. They then send the direction to your navigation unit and you just press go to, and off you go. Hope all this helps. Paul
  7. Hi Lenny, I'm not sure about a retrofit the 2008 ES, I know in fact it wasn't until the 2010 that they added the USB port. If in fact your 2008 does have one, it would be inside the console, on the front wall with a little cover labeled USB. Paul
  8. Maybe this explains the real "shell" game that is going on to manipulate prices. It's not the government, it's the oil companies that control the supply and the phony demand. Ad to that the insane subsidies congress keeps giving them like cotton candy. Since 2011, the USA's number one export has been gasoline and fuels. Not corn or cars, but gasoline! http://articles.bost...el-fuel-exports
  9. The interior looks like any other sedan. Not one piece of real wood trim that I can see. I guess the Lux in Luxury is gone, unless you can afford the Ls.
  10. you lost me a bit there bro, are you starting your car then twice also??? No.....but I didn't explain it very well. If you follow the steps up till we unlock the door, we have already started the car remotely, Now, when we get in the car , if we were to put our foot on the brake pedal, for example, the car would die....because the security system thinks your trying to begin to maybe put it in gear and take off with out authorization. This is were I push the "Start" button twice, while the engine is still running, to tell the security system that I'm a good guy and it's OK to let take off with the car. If that dosen't make sinse, let me know and I'll do some re-wording. I should have said this earlier along with my comment about Lexus security being complex. Almost all of these high end cars have extremley complex data systems compared to ten years ago. There is no aftermarket remote start to my knowledge that is perfect and even the OEM starter is imperfect because of the poor range limit. (my starter has a 2000ft, range) But with your situation and the other member, it sounds like the installers just gave up.
  11. Glad to have you here Thomas.
  12. Hi Karen and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. Let us know any time you have a question. Paul
  13. So sorry to hear of your grandfathers passing. I can only imagine how difficult this time must be for you and your family. My thoughts are with you my friend. Paul
  14. Ditto. Welcome to the Lexus Owners Club! Paul
  15. I have mine set so that when the remote start is activated, the doors "unlock". After the ignition sequence begins, I lock the doors with the remote start lock button. When I go out to the car I unlock it with the remote start fob again and get in. This is when I push the "start" button twice and the car is ready to take off. It is really no different that the regular start sequence, your just using the remote start fob. Paul
  16. One of the first looks at the new 2013 RX....and getting high praise!! http://www.autoblog.com/2012/02/13/2013-lexus-rx-redesign-revealed-in-leaked-brochure/?icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl9%7Csec3_lnk2%26pLid%3D136809
  17. Your problem is absolutely dumb. The installers must have gone to the same school, and learned the same things about Lexus. Nothing. Rob I can't tell what year your ES350 is but it shouldn't make any difference. The problem is, as you've already know, if linking the Lexus security processor with the remote start processor. when you press the remote start button, depending on the brand of remote start system and it's sophitication, the car will lock and start. When you approach the car, your should use the remote start to unlock the door, enter and in the case of my 2010 ES350, press the Start button twice. At this point, your ready to put the car in gear and take off. In my previous 2005, ES330 the remote start worked the same, but since it didn't have the "push-to-start" feature, you didn't have to push any start button. You simply unlocked the door and got in and drove away. The two brands I have used are "Viper" and "Python" The Lexus security system is very sophisticated and can't just be "worked around" If it was your dealer who installed these, go back.
  18. A place to start might be at the begining.....follow the directions on this page and reprogram your system first. If that dosen't fix the problem, you may need a need a new key and have a dealer regiister it to your specific vehicle. http://www.ehow.com/how_7450146_start-lexus-smart-key.html
  19. One of the sensors maybe bad. Have then checked.
  20. Feds hit BMW with a $3million fine for unreported saftey violations. This applies to problems from bottom models to the 7 series. Just for your reading enjoyment..... http://www.autobytel.com/bmw/news/bmw-to-pay-3-million-in-nhtsa-fines-109789/
  21. Hi Wilson. Welcome to the LOC. All information and help here is free and given by other members volunteraly, so no need to swap computer help. Off the top of my head I don't know the complete answer to your questions. Some others will chime in here and help out. Paul
  22. Hi Matt, and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. Sounds like the perfect ride! Paul
  23. I'm with "dcfish". Very unlikely the sub would just keep cutting in and out unless it was a lose connection, but with todays type of wiring harness and snap connections, very unlikey. ML amps in latter models have had problems with amps going out. Order a replacement amp from "dcfish" and that should sovle your problem. CAUTION- They are not cheap., but nothing with a Lexus is. The ML amp can not be repaired since Mark levinson keeps all their thech specs proprietary and no one, not even Lexus service has the information to know how to repair them. It is a "up-plug and replace" system. Paul
  24. Good Day Jaeg, and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club!! It is always a pleasure to have members from around the world join the club and share their knowledge. We look forward to hearing more about your RX400h. Please post some photographs of your car so we can all see. .
