  2. This far back year wise, I'm out of my league. However. it seems like you need an adapter harness of some kind to connect the new head uniit. Can you contact the supplier you bouught the new unit from and ask them? Paul
  3. Congratulations on your new pre-owned Lexus. You'll love it. The answer to your question is yes & no. In earlier years, even if the car had the "Sat" button on the dash, if it didn't come equiped with the satellite reciever as part of the original factory package, you would have to have the dealer install it at your cost. With the newer models, it is my understanding, that most models come "Sat" equiped ( ready for XM) but you must contact XM online, (there should be instructions in your owners manual.) When you talk to XM, they will give you a autorization code that is specific to your radio. You have to enter this code into your radio using the key-pad. Once you have done this, it activates your account with XM, the two units talk back and forth for a sencond, and your done. I love XM radio, and I don't think it's too exspensive I hope this has been some help. Paul
  4. Hi Roger and welcome to the LOC. By far, the best looking and fitting floor matts for the RX Lexus are the OEM Lexus mats. This is what i have in mine and they are excellent. In winter I switch to the rubber all weather matts. However, I, and others in the club, have purchased matts from "Loyds" custom matts. They make matts for virtualy any make an year and any model year. You can choose the matts to be made in a wide variety of materials and colors. Below, I have included a link to the Loyds company. Good luck in your search. http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/20A50195A1.aspx Paul
  5. Hi Derrick, See above, and check with "dcfish" On this forum, or look on e-bay.
  6. Hi Darryl and welcome to the Club. Since you want your system to be completly OEM, and you want it done in factory style, your Lexus dealer is going to be your best bet. But, it's going to cost you. A less exspensive option is to buy the components off e-bay and either install then yourself or have them installed by a car audio installation shop. One of our members, "dcfish" is our authorized vendor for Lexus audio equipment. He has posted earlier on this thread and you can contact him from there.
  7. Good day Evan and welcome to your Lexus Owners Club .My suggestion is trying a Lesus dealer/supplier in Dallas, TX. (Sewellparts.com) who has a large inventory of Lexus parts. In addition, they give a good discount to Lexus Owners Club members. When you sign on just indicate that your an LOC member. Maybe some others will jump in here and have some other ideas for ballast sources.
  8. Good morning and welcome to the LOC. I'm not sure where you've looked, but you might try " Sewellparts.com" in Dallas,TX.. They carry a large inventory of Lexus parts. Also, since you are a member of the Lexus Owners Club, as you fill out the order form , indicate that you are a LOC Member and you will reciieve an excellent discount. Paul
  9. Hi Tom, and welcome to the Club! I know little to nothing about the 2001 year navigation program. If I'm right , they use a CD system for upgrading the maps. The only suggestion I would make would be to re-boot the system with the new disc and see if that helps. Someone else will chime in hear and offer better advice than mine, Paul
  10. Hi Daijon and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. Can't help you with the torque question, but someone else should chime in. Paul
  11. Welcome Leaton, and welcome to the Club. We're glad your here . For suggestions on summer tires, check out our search feature. There is quite a bit of information there. Paul
  12. Even better than AOL? :) Haven't messed with you in awhile! I'm no longer using AOL. At your suggestion, I decided to swtich to K...M.A. .( LOL)
  13. I would look up "Tire Rack" online for their evaluation and recomendation. They are by far the "go to" source used by most car guys. Personally, I think their more accurate than Consumer Reports. A larger wheel will make your RX ride like a lumber wagon. Stick with the OEM wheel size that came with the RX. Paul
  14. I'm using this forum in hopes that I'll get several responses. Since the new software was installed, I have not been able to use the search feature because the results come out as black letters on a black background. In other words it is impossible to read. Steve and I have tried several things such as using different IP's.....Internet Exploer, Chrome, and AOL,( my usual source). None these have helped. Steve has not been able to duplicate the condition on his end, and others on this site, Steve W, Dave, have been unable to figure out the issue. I just read an old thread today talking about deleting cookies, and going into your profile and checking on "Standard". I'm sorry to say I don't know how to do the first and I can't find the other on my profile. Not sure is either one of these has anything to do with the problem. Please jump in and offer your ideas please. Paul
  15. Here are two possible sources: The approved member of this forum is : "dcfish". He frequently has many Lexus audio parts. Another source is "Metra Online". They carry car audio parts. Paul
  16. Greetings Faz, and welcome to the club. Paul
  17. Welcome to the Club. Just basing my information on my experience with my 2010 ES350 Nav. unit., I've never heard of the feature you refer too. Fuel consumption and tank average mpg. are shown in the normal display, along with miles to go until empty tank. I read all through my Navigation Owners Manual, and found no reference to fuel consumption. If you already haven't, I suggest you check your manual. Paul
  18. Glad you've joined us! I'm not at all sure, but given the model year of your GS, I would doubt there is a harness that would allow you to adapt your IPod. Contact this company for more information. http://metraonline.com/catalogs Paul
  19. Welcome, and glad to have you here.
  20. No. It is not normal. I can't tell you some probable cause's, but someone else will chime in here and offer more innormation.
  21. But only after your parking, having been to at a previous bar.
  22. Congratulations and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club! Paul
  23. Thats a good point....in other words would you have to re-authorize your set using your XM code given to you from the begining. I really don't know. Just go on-line to Sirius/XM and ask them. Please let us know what you find out.
  24. Hi Steve. Definetly want to know.
