nc211 Posted June 7, 2005 Author Posted June 7, 2005 I knew I liked you Blake, we're business goobers! Hahahaa! I myself have a finance degree with a lot of business admin courses mixed in. Good degree to get, you'll like what it brings you. One piece of advice, don't watch the movie Office Space, it'll scare you to death! If you ever hear the term "TPS Reports", run!!!!!

pachocco1 Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I am 35. I am currently a Student, House Husband, and Dad. Last year or so, I quit my job at Motorola in Austin ( Now Freescale) to go back to school. I never completed my undergraduate studies. Transfered from UTAustin to UTDallas ( got married and had a kid ) and completed Business Administatrion study. I am going for Grad school to study accounting / MBA.
nc211 Posted June 7, 2005 Author Posted June 7, 2005 Debits and credits huh? More power to ya' Pachocco! Accounting is something of a a science of it's own. I always remembered "ROL the credits and debit the DEA. I can't remember what they meant these days, something like Retained earings = credit & depreciation = debit and so forth. I think, can't rememeber. Accounting was never my strong point, just financial models and valuation techniques.

LexusLooker Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 NC211, good post idea. I'm 46, male, and in IT. Did the UT computer degree via the business school instead of the computer department. A bright new idea in the early 80s. Funny how many of us are Bus Goobs and/or IT Geeks. I agree, PK Lex - some of these pups sound mature for their age! Kennyr - now that's a career change. From Volvo mechanic to Charter Financial Resources! Well, gotta get back to work. TPS Report is due. James
