  1. we decided to put granite countertops on our kitchen. so that means change the sink and faucet. well while that's being done, we were thinking of putting the old kitchen sink behind the kitchen sink (patio) and was wondering if that was possible. i havent asked a plumber yet, but was wondering if anyone here has done that. i was thinking, maybe use a drain pipe and connect it to the drain of the kitchen sink??? things like that. any suggestions??? still not yet 100% positive on this move . :whistles: :)
  2. best way to know what to do, ask the dealer. aside from KBB, the dealer will determine the price of the car. that was my mistake back with my RX300. I went to the bank to get a mortgage for it, and bank told me "yea, it's worth the loan amount, maybe even a little more" then about 3 months down the road, i wanted to get rid of it and dealer was asking for around $2k-$5k less than the amount i owed. lease these days, are cheap because they jack up the residual value in the end. that's why, if u ever want to buy a lease, there are 2 options: 1. you will keep the car forever (as long as it'll serve you) 2. pay it off, then sell it (so you won't owe anyone a cent in the end) but before anyone buys a lease, I HIGHLY suggest that person to consult, not only the bank for the value of the vehicle, but the dealer and KBB. dealers don't use KBB (fyi). found that out when they priced my RX. it's some other kind of "kbb" site they use, that only sales people have access to.
  3. not necessarily. it's the same settings. the GX usually raises or puts more air in the suspension when there is a heavy load. i.e. about 4 weeks ago, i loaded up my GX with laminate flooring. here's the math of the flooring 1 box approx = 25lbs 1st trip: 20 boxes = 500lbs 2nd trip: 30 boxes= 750 lbs. now on both trips, after unloading the flooring, the rear was obviously very high. it puts in a lot of air to keep it level when it's very heavy. the 1st trip wasn't bad, meaning it didn't take the car that long for it to level to normal with that 500lbs but on the 2nd trip with 750, it took quite awhile before it reached it's normal height with that much weight. so maybe it's just weight that's causing it to be a little higher. and besides, remember these cars have so many complicated things in them, that either the system isn't functioning properly or that's how the car wants it's rear to be! ;)
  4. oh i see. thanx. NOOO not yet. maybe next time! :whistles: :)
  5. i know this is kinda off topic, but how do i EXACTLY find out what the other person's 1/4 time is??? i'm always afraid to race someone that's about the same ranking in the game as me. btw, can u update the time standings of everyone here?? B)
  6. HAPPY BDAY!!! :D I'm still afraid to race SK in ashracing... :whistles: lol :P
  7. so r u gonna try and get that fixed?? i doubt ur 05 will qualify for the teflon driveshaft. I havent tried the teflon driveshaft, nor have asked about it, but for sure i'd qualify for it.
  8. ok. this seemed appropiate in this forum so i thought of posting this here. Now I've mentioned before (in the GX forum) that I had both my rear door lock and passenger door lock bust out, meaning they won't open unless the dealer opens up the sidings (painful to think about considering they might scratch it up and leave rattles). Yesterday, my DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK is starting to bust out. :chairshot: :chairshot: Why i'm saying that it's just starting to, because it's showing the same symptoms it showed on both the rear and passenger doors. So this time, i'm gonna have it fixed right away. Now here's my question, is this happening because Lexus is known for busted door locks, bad luck, or because I'm a guinea pig at this vehicle (bought it the second month it first came out) so that there are a lot of "bugs" on it?? <_< :chairshot:
  9. Buy a LS430. ← i'd agree on that one. if it's the last car, for retirement, get an LS430!!
  10. I hate flying on them since I design the parts! scary! :D ← you had to say it...jeez, i have to get on a plane in 2 days! ← lol ahh, dat was a good one. don't sweat it. i've been on a lot of airplanes, mostly 747s and some of them would make you think (oh crap. this thing is so old that it might fall apart!) lol. usually, age of airplanes are determined by the number of LIFT OFFS AND LANDINGS, not MILEAGE. strange, but dat's what i learned last year when i took a plant tour of the Boeing 747 in Everett, Washington . :whistles: :P
  11. 5 mpg??? :o you sure it isn't 5 gallons per mile??? wow, that's not bad if that's true. ;)
  12. ok. just making sure. why i asked this was because my dad back then (with a jeep) hauled like, bricks, on it. He said it had a hard time and once he removed the bricks, the whole driveshaft just gave up or something. so i was thinking the same for my GX. just checking... :whistles:
  13. ok. so i needed to buy some hardwood flooring for my next home. i bought some at home depot. now, 2 years ago, i bought flooring for my current home. i needed 15 or 17 boxes for my homes. now for my next home, i need, 50 boxes. what i did to save my GX a big burden, was to split it into 2 trips. first trip, i placed 20 boxes. 2nd trip, 30 boxes. now here's the weight of it. 1 box = 22 lbs 20 boxes = 440 lbs 30 boxes = 660 lbs that 220 lbs difference really gave the GX a little hard time on the second time around. i remember it took about a mile or so before the rear could reach it's normal height again with all that weight. now that's done, lately i've been noticing that the clunk comes back more often. could the weight of the flooring have stretched the universal joint in the driveshaft or something??:cries:
  14. i'm having problems signing on to WinMx. i haven't installed anything new on my computer, but the problem is that it keeps saying "Finding Network Connections". even leaving the computer for like an hour, letting it find a connection, it'll still be the same status "Finding Network Connections". so what's wrong with it???
  15. Vegas is a lot different then Orlando. wouldn't you say? Lexkid asked in his first post about renting in Orlando, not Vegas! :chairshot: ← well i said about vegas becuz i've never been to Orlando and that vegas is really the only place i've seen that u can rent nice expensive cars.
  16. no. found them somewhere on the net. the LEXUS one is the one i made up. ;)
  17. AUDI- Always Unsafe Designs Implemented
  18. VOLVO- Very Odd Looking Vehicular Object *Vehicles Of Low Velocity Owners VW-Virtually Worthless :)
  19. let's see.... i tried coming up with one for Lexus but doesnt sound great Luxury Enthusiast's Xtraordinary and Unbelievable Standards ??? LEXUS
  20. i doubt there would be rental Lexus vehicles out in this world (aside the loaners) but in Vegas, u can rent an H2, SL500, Viper, Z8 (i think), maybe an S500, Escalade, Corvette, maybe a Porsche (not sure which one).
  21. Although I don't think I experience this but can I take it to the dealer and have them implment this TSB on my GX anyway? I know someone may say this. How can we fix something that's not broken? In other words, we should be able to change the part before it can potentially be a problem. Does it make sense? Or am I far off in left field? ← well it depends when ur GX was built. i think it only applies to certain GX470s, like 03s and some 04s. I think. don't hold me accountable for it but that's what i think i've heard. haven't done it yet for mine. still thinking about it. ;)
  22. i don't know if you'll be interested in 24s also.
  23. here are 22's of someone else's GX.
  24. here's another guy's rims. it's 275/45 20's
