my dad said that he'd once again try to argue this rim with the dealer. we just remembered about it when we saw the mileage that it was due for a rotation. but before the rotation, to prove to the dealer that it's their fault and everything, we'll take it in before the rotation. now i'm going directly to the service manager about this. I'll be happy enough if they will pay for the repair of the rim, w/o replacing it. I'll be happy and shut up about it. good thing the tire rotation of the other car stimulated my dad to go back and complain about my GX rim again. although it was a pain in the !Removed! to wait for the rotation last nite (my dad's car tire blew out, so he took it to costco to get it repaired, and saw that it was due for a rotation too, so had it done also) but it might be a good thing it did happen. we'll see how mad i'll be later if the dealer denies the scratch

yea. rear enders are kinda common lately. people just don't pay attention. my dad has like a new technique when driving. if he sees that a car is tailgating him toooo close, he'd put on his hazards and obviously the guy in the backs going "WTF?? Is his car broken or what? Why is he still going?" ;) I'm trying to use that technique also. People here in the USA aren't fond of using hazards. In the Philippines, they use hazards a lot. From simple backing out of parking slots or garages, to "get out of my way, it's an emergency" they use hazards. I just came from the Philippines like 3 months ago, and my driver uses the hazard a lot. sometimes after parking the truck (1995Mitsubishi Strada --formerly known here as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max) he'd forget to turn them off. lol <_< :)

lol i agree. everytime i'm in his car he does like to floor it. maybe it does need a big tune-up, because he bought it used, and it had like 100k miles on it when he bought it. so that could be the problem. i do like the sound of the muffler though, nice and noisy. lol. i knew he was exaggerating his gas mileage. he even puts 89 gas in it, and uses those gas formula thingys, like the ones you buy at the gas station or car shops, that says they can improve your gas mileage. i've never used those so i don't really know if it really helps or not. :P

i don't feel like checking the GM forums, but i just have a quick question about the 92-95 firebirds. First of all, since it's been awhile since i posted, this forum feels a little different (different skin). now my friend just bought a used firebird, 94 model. now he tells me (doesnt want to drive me around because of it) that his gas mileage is horrible, as horrible or even worse than my Gx (15/18) . anyone who has a firebird or knows of a person who does, can u tell me what the mpg of those things are. jst curious. i know my friend's gotta be exaggerating when he says it's as worse as the GX. I think it's only a V6. thanx in advance

in my previous RX300, there was a glove box rattle. then when i was attempting to get that fixed, for some reason, my dealer created a new rattle in my dash :chairshot: . It was a rattle, that i myself could re-create w/o driving the car. If u want to see if it is the same as mine, find the connection between the front windshield vent and the rest of the dash. push on it and see if it rattles or squeaks. If it is, then it's a clip inside the dash. i know it's a clip because when mine got into an accident, the rattle got worse. I then had the dealer open it and fix it, and they said that some clip came off (not knowing that the accident probably made it worse).

American cars, in my opinion is for those who don't plan on using the car for more than 50k miles. I mean, i've had rental cars before, and they're not even 30k miles and there are many problems that i can pin-point. For Lexus though, IMO, will last long, engine wise. For the fancy features (auto this, auto that) those might not last as long as we think it would.

speaking of the thump, i think mine's slowly going away. Fix or solution, I dunno?!?!? lately it hasn't been annoying so i don't know if it will eventually go away.

Have any of you ever seen a GX without the third seat option? Every one I have seen at my dealers over the last year and a half, has had the third row. hey. over here!! I do!!! ;)

doesn't the new current PS2s, slim ones, have internet ready in them and a lot faster than the bigger PS2s??

i've heard of someone who didn't want to buy an XBOX 360 but earned money from it. huh?? he stood in line at like wal mart the first day. so it was like 11:30 pm and the kid behind him was anxious to get one. so this guy lets him cut in line ,BUT FOR $100. :o :D

mine was also under warranty. actually, the passenger door lock, rear door lock, and driver door locks were all busted out and needed to be replaced! :chairshot: oh well. still running great. ;)

actually i need it for another car that doesnt have homelink. sorry i forgot to say about that. s ofar only 2 buttons will be filled up in the homelink once i get the new opener installed. ;)

i just bought a house in a gated community. now the clicker is old and falling apart, so i want to get rid of the clicker. now i wanna change the garage openner too but seems that i need to keep the old clicker for the gate (gate openner is on the garage door openner). seems like the HOA got all the houses in here the same brand garage door openners when they were new. i wanna replace it but seems that there aren't any clickers in home depot or lowe's that can be a good replacement. I got a clicker from home depot a week ago, but turns out that there needs to be a certain code (those buttons where like #1 is off, then 2 is on,, etc...) so that won't work with transfering the gate code. i want a clicker that operates like the Homelink (just press down and it'll memorize it). any certain place that sells it???

Was waiting to drive LR3 but got the GX because I needed to replace the 4-Runner asap for a long trip at the time. Im glad I did get the GX, seen lots of little problems with the LR3 and mileage on her seems to be lacking somewhat. I get 17-18 average, blend of city and highway. A few LR3 reviews got less than that. ← besides, i think you're paying too much $$$ on Land Rovers when the quality of those vehicles are no better than a Ford or Kia (no offense to those car brands) ;)

oh my bad. didnt read that earlier. i thought u mentioned Home link. No. once u buy a GX w/o Lexus Link, i don't think they're pre-wired for it.

i think all GX470s come with Homelink. ;)

with those 2 choices, LR3 and GX, i'd stick with Lexus. Land Rover's got bad quality and reliability. hey, my GX isn't perfect (clunk, vibration, door locks broken: rear, passenger front, driver, brake leak, creaky seats, etc.) but i'd still go for the GX ;)

i finally decided not to get the extra sink installed. I got an undermount sink, stainless for the sink and faucets and i'm just gonna get rid of the old sink. but thanx anyways. i thought i could have made some use of the old sink. :o :whistles:

Very odd...Maybe they made a change sometime during the 2004 production. Here is a scan of the window sticker from my 2004 GX, clearly showing the milage as 15 -19. All of the ones I looked at while I was picking mine out and waiting for it to arrive, showed 15-19 on their window stickers. ← well mine said 15/18. does it really matter that much??? i was getting around 20 mpg highway the last time i took a 400 mile trip. ;)

03 at the beginning, had SAND DOLLAR PEARL!!! lol :whistles: well, not really significant, but i feel special with this color. :)

it's what raises the cars, or suvs in most cases. ;)

ok. thanx guys. now i've got more comments about this, i think i'm going to pursue it (keeping all your advices in mind). the sink will be under my patio, so the possibility of leaves or whatnots going into the sink will be less. i never even thought i'd have an extra sink like this. we all decided to go stainless with the sink and faucets after the granites are installed so i ended up with an extra sink laying around in my back yard. then i thought (while standing in the back yard) to put the sink somewhere. oh well. let's see what's going to happen. if it pushes thru, i'll probably post pix of it. :)
