  1. Well that's only one post away. I've been here for a little over two years with you guys. I don't really post as much as you guys do, but 500 posts a year, roughly, is quite a bit for me. Now for that 10,000 post mark............ :whistles: lol
  2. As i have mentioned many times in old threads about this, you can RECREATE the clunk yourself. Simply, put the car in drive, leave your foot on the brakes, and either raise or lower the air suspension. Somehow, sometime, the clunk will come up, and may come up a few times. TRy that. I tried it after the new TSB, and so far, haven't recreated the clunk yet.
  3. While I was looking at some of my old posts, I ran into one of my polls. Time to refresh it. So (cough) newbies (cough), vote!!! :)
  4. A much more simpler way to do this (but sound quality may be different, depending on stations) is a wireless FM transmitter. Plug that into ur mp3, find a station that isn't being used, and set ur radio and transmitter to that station. ;) B)
  5. Not happy with the stock Michelins, try the stock Goodyears that some RX330/350s come out with. ;)
  6. I think you can put the stock 17" wheels from a 3rd gen GS, to ur 2nd Gen GS. I've seen one before, and wow, it looks great. ;) :)
  7. Breakwater blue is such a NICE color. I wish they could have offered that with the GX. If I went with a RX330, I would DEFINITELY have picked that color. ;)
  8. Don't spoil the fun u guys! I was happy, last year I got 22mpg on the GX on a trip to Vegas , and 20mpg on a trip to San Francisco last month. :whistles: Didn't really do a lot of cruising. Speed varied a lot though.
  9. The RX, ever since, was kinda known for rattles. Back in my RX300, I had a commonly known glove box rattle, and I took that into the dealer to get it fixed. The dealer TEMPORARILY fixed it, and caused a whole new rattle, which was coming from somewhere inside the dash. :chairshot: The CRV is a pretty good vehicle with good quality at its price. I haven't really used my CRV (because it's in the PHilippines and I'm in CAli) but everytime i use it there, there seems to be very minor rattles in it. It only has 10k kilometers. Only bad thing that's happened to my CRV, is that the rear shocks went bad all of a sudden. They didn't give up on me, but when i drove it there, and the Philippines has a lot of rough asphalt roads, I heard this "creaking" sound coming from the back. Honda dealer told me it was the shocks going bad. Weird, but I didn't really mind it because it is growing old w/o being used regularly. 10k kilometers, 9 years old, a little over 1k kilometers a year! I wish I could trade the odyssey and the CRV, so the odyssey wouldn't be used much and I could squeeze out the juice from the crv. lol :P
  10. Well if you need help with buying cars, i know a couple good dealers here in Fresno (if your willing to come down here) to get you a good deal. I've always known a guy at Honda, and since I recently bought the 4Runner, I also know a good person at Toyota now. PM me if you want more info. :) As for a Lexus guy, uhh, well not too sure about him YET. :o ;)
  11. Well that's the Lexus Magazine. I loved the InsideLexus.com booklet. They give all the sneak peak on their upcoming vehicles. ;)
  12. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...88&hl=clunk http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...65&hl=clunk http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...03&hl=clunk Try using the "search" feature and you can find a whole library full of information about this. ;)
  13. I have the same situation with my CRV in the Philippines. I hope it doesn't have major problems or whatever because it's a 97 CRV, with only 10k kilometers!!! ;) Definitely, it needs new tires because it's already showing signs of aging. :chairshot:
  14. The other day, i had a 06 loaner 330, and something was annoyingly rattling in the back, maybe coming from the rear door.
  15. I know this isn't much help, but is it true that per Toyota vehicle, only 5 spare keys are allowed to be made, by Toyota? I think I read this somewhere in the 4Runner manual, but couldn't remember reading it in the GX manual.
  16. Does Lexus send this to ALL registered Lexus owners??? I remember those "InsideLexus.com" booklets that gave you the inside scoop on their future vehicles. Was that discontinued totally, or just to me???
  17. Definitely the GS has a cramped headroom. I'd take the new ES, even an older ES over the new GS. :whistles: :)
  18. i don't have rear a/c, and it still comes up. Does it come up to you guys, when using the a/c in the front??
  19. That's a really tough decision. Both are good cars.... well I'll just leave it at that. But amf, you said your friend could get a GS for the price of a ES? huh, well I had a different situation with the 4Runner decision. When i was in the market for a non-luxury vehicle to add-on, This is how it first started: 1. Honda CRV (my mom didnt like it, too small) 2. Honda Pilot (wow, payments are a little too much) 3. Honda Odyssey (but there's less options, compared to a Sienna) 4. Toyota Sienna ( more options than an Odyssey, ah but wait) 5. Toyota 4Runner It was just out of curiosity that I asked how much the 4Runner was going for, that i ended up getting one. The sales person told me that they were running a special on the 4Runner. So when the figures came back, the 4Runner seemed like the winner. Toyota Sienna ($26,900 unit) Toyota 4Runner ($30,200 unit) lease rate of the 4Runner, was only $9 more than the Sienna!!! :o Add to that, I went to the second dealer in town for a price comparison, and they had this "crazy larry" (he's the gsm, general sales manager) and the price of the exact 4Runner was about $10 cheaper a month, compared to the Sienna from the other dealership. CraZy!! Although it kinda seemed like comparing apples and oranges (Sienna van vs. 4Runner SUV) but pricewise, that's the main comparison. I know the Pilot should have been the comparison, but the figures were extremely more than the 4Runner. ;)
  20. mine just came in the other day (finally) . Seems like it doesn't come up anymore, even by raising and lowering the suspension when the car's in D. (crossing fingers). Let's hope this 5th attempt of mine, IS THE LAST ATTEMPT! ;)
  21. wow, not bad. looks like the guy's using the cop's maneuver to get away. lol :P
  22. wow. that's quite a bit. I remember, when my dad had the Ody tinted, all seven windows (5 in the back, and the 2 in the front) only costed him $200. That was a Lumar tint. He's had it for two years now, and so far so good, no bubbles, and isn't turning purple or anything. ;)
  23. no one ever told me these things are back ordered! I've been waiting 2 weeks and still no word if the parts are in for it. :cries:
  24. I got some chrome side mirror covers for the ody. now i'm interested in getting some for the 4runner. anyone know of a site that sells them? I saw a few sites, but none offer a chrome side mirror cover for a 06 4runner. any suggestions will be appreciated. thanx in advance.
