  1. isn't this the technology that the repellent "combines" the water drops into one big drop, so it will slide down the window and improve visibility? I think some new Lexus vehicles have this. For sure, my 4Runner already has it. :whistles:
  2. wish I could help you guys, but I don't have access to edit this forum. <_< :(
  3. So what are you doing here ? I'm the new happy owner of a LX470. Specially happy since my wife loves it :) Thank you for your advices. Cheers Luck glad that you got yourself a LX470. Enjoy and welcome!
  4. oh man. SK beat me to it. once i read the first post i already had luxurymotorworks in mind. ;)
  5. wow. very old thread but, Yes but leonic was right about what the dealer told him. You need to replace the interior sidings as the GX470s w/3rd seat don't have the two mounting brackets for the tonneau cover. The GX470s w/o 3rd seat can't install 3rd seats in the future, because they don't have the brackets to install the 3rd row seats. So it's a vice versa thing. I'm not sure if Lexus does or doesn't offer a GX w/o third row, but mine doesn't have third row seats. :) :whistles:
  6. try the website, that SW03ES gave me a few months ago. I've already set it up for you. Just pick which rim you want. You can have rims up to 20" ;) http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/cgi-b...amp;model=RX400
  7. To save our members time in searching, I've decided to compile all the information we've gathered about setting up your IPODS and Satellite Radios. IPOD Control http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=29759 XM Satellite Radio http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=24989 If you find anything missing, let me know and post it up. Thanks
  8. Is that personalized plates?? Nice! ;)
  9. I believe the new GX470s have coat hangers now. But if you get a GX w/o third seat, guaranteed you will have coat hangers like me. ;)
  10. Just keep us posted and post pictures! ;)
  11. A2 Lexus, I hope I am wrong but judging by your description, it seems like symptoms of the clunk. Dont let this spoil your Lexus experience. If you went thru the 4 other TSBs that Lexus made for the clunk before this one you might think of selling ur Gx right away! That was my experience this whole time. just trying to shed some light for you. If you hav this TSB done ASAP you will eventualy forget about it!
  12. A2 Lexus, unfortunately that is some early signs of the clunk. When was ur vehicle manufactured (on the sticker, on the driver's door jam) so we may have reference to other 06 GX470 owners. Thank You.
  13. I chose Lexus, because of good reliability ratings. Plus, ever since i was young, seeing a Lexus was a big "WOW" to me. BMW, and Benz, no big deal. I've never admired nor wanted to drive any of those. Ever since my great experience with my RX300 (except the glove box rattle), I've decided to buy Lexus (or Toyota) from now on unless BMW, Benz, Land Rover, Jag, and the other cheap luxury car companies prove that they're good quality and reliable vehicles, I stick with the Japanese made! :)
  14. Well to everyone's standards, I did my very first mod! :whistles: Usually, i do the cheap stuff (like tint, chrome tip, anything that doesn't require removing original things from the vehicle) and I did my first mod on the 4Runner. It's actually, not even after market parts. I wanted a Homelink on the 4Runner, but couldn't get one. So i went to t4r.org and found a thread about it, and ordered one. First time, they gave me a homelink console that had a broken clip. So i had to wait another 2 days for a new one to come in. So that would explain the date difference in the pictures. ;)
  15. Only thing i noticed with nitro in the tires, I don't think the tires lose air as fast as regular air in them, compared with nitro. Otherwise, I don't see or feel any difference! :whistles:
  16. I don't like my dashboard all shiny either, but I just use a small amount of Armor All, and wipe it on the dash, and usually it isn't shiny. Just make sure you've equally applied it to all areas. :)
  17. Looks like it might blend. Dark Taupe?? Must mean dark ivory, because my 4Runner's interior is called Taupe (and it's a tan/ivory color). :P :D
  18. Looks great. I like how the front blended in with the back windows with the 30%, and that the rear isn't much darker than the front (like cars here in CA) :)
  19. IMO you have 2 options depending on how much you want to spend. First, you can order all weather floor mats from Lexus and choose the darker interior mats or get mats from Pep Boys or Kragen. There might be other floor mat choices in any car magazine. I personally cut out carpet runners in my cars and just buy all weather floor mats from Pep Boys. The ones in my Gx are still good w/o holes or tears and they were originally from my Rx300(about 6 years old) because i sold the Rx for my Gx.
  20. From the album: Denny's GX4R

GX470, Welcome to your new sibling!!
  21. I've pinned this topic so that future GX470 owners will have easy access to this information.
  22. A lot of us have posted here what Lexus vehicle we have (either in the signature, or on the left hand side) so if you see a model that you're interested in knowing about, you can send us a PM (private message) or something to know more about the specifics of a certain model.
  23. It sounds kinda vague (as SKperformance said) but what I think you're trying to say is, the immobilizer system of ur 01 GS is giving you problems. Adding a new alarm system will not fix the problem. New aftermarket alarm systems do have their own immobilizers, but I'm not sure if the original Lexus immobilizer will be defeated by the new one though. my $.02 ;)
  24. I try not to let my tank get below 1/4 full so I don't pick up any gunk at the bottom... I'll just fill it up and divide the miles from the last odometer reset by the number of gallons. But hey, who wants to stop driving to get gas anyway! :) that's why I don't fill up any of my cars when I see that the truck just filled up the station's supply. Now if i didn't see them fill it up, because the truck left right away, well I can't control that. :(
  25. In American laws, yes. If I were located in the Philippines, that would be another story. :P
