  1. Its like telling the police that "a deer ran out in front of you"
  2. Seems like a transmition prob. Not an electrical one.
  3. And when you have then out go ahead and use an air compressor to blow any corrosion out of the socket. And you will need a sparkplug socket to pull them out because they are in deep.
  4. If it is electrical then it is something that is kepping the compressor from working. You may simply be out of freeon. If the compressor is not working then circulation will always be more hot that it will channeling ouside air. Especially if your moving down the road.
  5. thx, lucky13, that's also what i thought. but how come good last year and bad this year since i never used cold air? btw, i think i still need R12 instead of R134. R12 is illegal in california now as i learned. anybody got suggestions? thx I dont know but mine did the exact same thing. Had not used it but when it got hot and I tried to use it it simply would not blow hot. I got a new compressor on ebay for $270. A friend mechanic charged me $100 to put it in. You probably will not get as lucky on the price unless you do it yourself but there are quite a few compressors for sale on ebay by various auto stores for hundreds less that OEM from a lexus dealership.
  6. You could be out of freeon or the compressor may be locked up. If it is locked up the AC light will be flashing. Most commonm is simply out of freeon easy to fix unless the compressor is leaking. Then you will still need a new one.
  7. I had the same problem and had to replace the pump itself. In fact this is not an uncommon problem so I would not be surprised if that was the case. You can get an aftermarket pump for under 200 at Advanced Auto or a place like that and instalation is very easy. Took me about 15 min.
  8. King Midas touch.

  12. Right, like the article says, you want to match the octane with what your engine is designed for. In the case of Lexus that is the more premium gasoline. As a rule of thumb though higher octane does not decrease performance unless you you go way over the end and do something like start putting 118 octane racing fuel in your suburban. Its also a "if the safty inspectors say the tap water is safe but they only drink the bottled water, you should do the same" kind of thing. Do what the experts do, not what they say to do.People like nascar have a dependancy on the best performance and they use the highest octane that the rules will allow.
  13. They are the same car huh?
  14. No we trade it for the Leaning Tower Of Pisa......for no appearent reason.
