  1. I can almost assure you it's your Fuel Pump ECU. Do the paper clip mod and let us know
  2. manual or auto? it could be tps same thing happend to my civic auto..
  3. yes, i have done that stuff, i guess I need to put a little more elbow grease into it tonight and see what happens.. I have redone the whole stereo system, i just didn't take that speaker out at that time. I use a DVC 12 in the back and I figured leaving that hole would help the sound come through..
  4. I tried to follow this link and I still can't get my sub to come out? Are there more than 4 bolts that hold this thing down?
  5. (yes i have searched the threads and found nothing) It all started when I was driving the car home from work one day going about 80mph with the traffice, then all of the sudden the car just shuts down. I have to pull off the road quickly. Once to the side, I had power and I would try to start the car it is started up fine. But it would not stay idoled for very long. Oddly enough I took the key completely out and it started right back up with no problems. It has done that to me again as well. I thought it may have been the gas grade, so I have made sure I am always using premium with fuel cleaner as well. But that doesn't seem to help. This morning, the car was sitting at idol while I was dropping my son off at daycare. It just died again. I would crank but instantly die again. I tried the method of taking the key complete out of the ignition, like I have before, but still wouldn't stay cranked. After a few minutes I cranked up fine... Where do I even start at to find a cause/problem that needs to be fixed? Has this happened to anyone else? I have a 92 sc400 with only 80,000 miles on it. It has been garage kept when not in used and serviced regularly.
  6. Install looks good. Can you give a list of what you used (brand/size/etc) What is the time frame on trim? What are you looking to use?
  7. How much of the car is photoshop? What is the wheel size / brand on the 400?
  8. if it is located in the right hand side then it must be in the front part of the trunk and not were the CD changer is?
  9. Thanks but I did look through that link and posted on it but since it was so old I started a new one..
  10. Okay, I have looked through this site and "google", so is there a dash kit for the 1992 Lexus SC 400? :(
  11. Was this problem ever solved? I have the same yr/make/model car and I am looking for a dash kit as well. Also, where is the amp located? Passenger side Trunk?
