    I just replaced the strut rods, Ball Joints, and rear carrier bushings on my 98 LS for the same reason. It made a night and day diffrence on the way it now drives.Now it makes no more clunk or vibration at speed. Total of job $1100.00

    I have a bad left motor mount on my 1998 LS, Has anybody had to replace this on your car? I need help on doing it myself.

    Did you have any trouble getting the bolts out of the front strut rod?

    I had the same trouble with my 98 LS, Look on ebay for a repair service to fix it. About $175.00

    A collapsed brake hose or, the caliper slides themselves. Not beeing lubricated can make it seem like a caliper is hanging. It's very uncommon for a lexus caliper to go bad.

    I have a 98 LS that I drove from Chicago to Minneapolis [352 miles] three people in the car with luggage in 5 hours 28.5 MPG WHAT A GREAT CAR!!!!!!!

    I have a 98 LS 400 that is doing the same thing I'm going to replace the strut rods on both sides total cost of parts $ 180.00

    If you only replace one it can bend the hood when you try to close it .The autozone Mightystrut works the best for little money, Search for MEIST21 He has the correct part numbers. A very nice fix!!!

    I worked for midas for ten years, All you have do do is open a rear bleeder screw and push the pedal down to move the propornition valve to the front side of the brake cylinder. then bleed the brakes without letting the master going dry. Any problems after that give me a phone # and I'LL call ya and talk you through it.

    My 98 did the same thing after I had the windshield replaced. The guy that put the wiper back on had it one tooth off on the spline for the wiper arm. Easy fix, just loosen the nut on top of the arm, pull the arm off and move it one tooth up on the spline.

    My 98 LS did the same thing, It was the starter that went bad. I had the dealer replace it to the tune of 855.55 ouch!!!

    No heat needed just take out all the phillips head screws and you will also have two ten mm nuts to take off on the bottom left and right of the glove box. you can give it a little tug on the top to get the clips on the top to pop out, The total job took me 15 mins. very easy

    Ihave been told by a dealership tech that it is 2 qts to top it off.

    I think that it is done by turning the key on & off a number of times and hitting the brake. Get a hold of MEIST21 he knows the deal.

    Iworked for Midas for ten years, They will do the job for about $10.00 it should take about 5 min.

    I had my windshield replaced and no problems since.

    I had a 86 Toyota Cressida that was close to being totaled. They fixed it, but it was never the same. Take the insurance money. :(
