The cheapest is a guy on eBay who you send a copy of the key and he will cut a new one for you with a new head.About $40 with the key and cutting.
Otherwise locksmiths in Toronto can cut them for about $50 but you supply the key. If you don;t want an alarm button on the key the dealer sells them pretty cheap for a master key with no electronics.
Any turning equipment is basically the same.
It is the person who sets them up who can either save the rotors or dig real deep to save themselves time.
It takes several light passes but no one wants to waste that time anymore
Car stereo systems are separate while an alarm an starter are much more integrated and better left to a pro who has the wiring schematics to do it right.
Got to agree , glad you found a nice old thread but the better ones are saying it is from starting the car which draws all the power and drains other systems ,causing the time to be lost as it has no battery back up system.
Just for kicks what code is it giving you?
Computers don;t give you codes for no reason ,it is usually attributed to something . Either it is a repair you do not want to make or a modification which causes the light
It should be a metal pipe/tubing alone that spot which leads me to belive you have a rusty car which has caused the lines to rupture.
The whole brake line will need to be made and rebent from the front to the back . It is not cheap but still cheaper than buying a OEM prebent one from toyota.
You may be not actually experiencing higher gas mileage but keeping more of the gas in the tank rather than it evaporating .That would lower your overall MPG with the car still suing the same amount of gas.
Do the tools look the same , i was not mentioning the casing as it is LS 400/430 specific.
The contents of the tool kit are pretty much the exact same across the board even my 94 ES has the same tools just less the flashlight.
What tools do you have ?
