  1. the biggest thing to remember when using a prodcut like that is that your prep work is going to make or break the finished product. It has to be sanded and primed well for it to work.
  2. I used black duct tape and a zip tie before i got a small copper nipple attachment from a tranny filter to open and close.
  3. Did you hold the spark plug connected to the coil and ground it to see if it is actually firing?
  4. The x pack wheels are pretty expensive , i know a friend who is selling his but 2 have slight curb rash for 1100
  5. Mine just has a plastic intake so any hole made in between the throttle body and the air filter is fine.
  6. I had a fog light blow the other day and realised one of my HID bulbs had blown. So i proceeded to remove the light from fog light to find the bulb had cracked. When i took the bulbs to my basement i had to remove my collars as i rebased the d2s bulbs and put a 9006 base on. I had to use an old fog light i had to make sure i had clearance on the original bulbs in the housing. I then realised there is a metal shroud inside the foglight to reduce glare. I wondered how hard it was to remove as it was an old foglight and it took 2 minutes to fold and snap out as it is made of tin . It is basically a U with the bulb inserted at the top of it. It then has flaps on both sides to envelope the bulb . You have to pry the flaps inwards to the upper and lower main arms . You then wiggle it back and forth and it snaps off . Then pull it out and it is read to go very easily. It is so easy the the light output is 40% better as 90% of the bulbs were covered . Just replace the old bulbs and you are good to go . It does create a wider pattern but glare does not seem to be an issue but i never drive with the m on unless i have a reason to use them.
  7. Well at first i though this was the stupidest thing i could ever do to my baby. After a few days of bedding it down with carbon it has become beautifully quiet except under load. Basically i had a shop remove everything from the cats including the flanges on them to replace it with new piping to replace the restrictive bends under the cats on the engine. It goes into a magnaflow xpipe and then to my 2 L-Sportline exhausts. All piping is made of stainless steel to last a lifetime just like my LS. I did not add any resonators which i thought i needed but not yet at least. Also moved the rear mufflers further back to stick out of the bumper by 1/2 and inch . It is not much but gives it a very meaning look. The car now sounds like a V8 finally when i hit the gas. I can;t believe i am driving a Lexus but once i am at cruising speed it is back to the quietness of mild wind noise as my only accompaniment. My performance has gotten much better as it will make the trac light go off so easily now even occasionally on 1-2 gear shifts. Gas mileage also seems to be getting better but it is also getting warmer and i don't idle the car as much to know for sure. I'll post some pics and a sound clip later when the car is clean again. I love it when i hit the gas and everyone looks around except at me since it is a Lexus. LOL :o
  8. My LS has brake cooling duct which are provided through the engine pan shield which routes the air under and around the back of them.
  9. Actually , using seafoam you do not want to get it to normal operating temp as sea foams boiling temp is low and will evaporate before it will work. You just need to have the car run for 2 minutes at idle from cold start. Then use seafoam by pouring it in the intake hose as all the vacuum hoses are after the throttle plate. I drilled a hole in my intake and use it for using seafoam at each oil change twice a year.

  13. It is called the clock spring which is a coiled flat flexible circuit board that is coiled like a spring and allows the wheel to turn back and forth without snapping the connection . Whoever did the work snapped the wheel too hard and caused it to break,
  14. The idle problem will need to have the throttle body cleaned to reap the most rewards as unless you use the intake to ingest the fluid it cannot clean where it cannot touch which is the throttle body.
  15. They will not rust as they are aluminum. Sanding them is only an option is you are going to clearcoat them after otherwise corrosion will cause the tires to leak air. Go to a detailer and ask them what to do as they can see the issue at hand.

  18. Great work , i checked the web for the code and it give maf cleaning as the first possible thing as well as a vacuum problem.
  19. One goes and it burns out the other. I had to replace both of mine on my ES and know a friend who's IS did the same. Save some money and get a hella air horn set for 50 and they work great.
  20. You don't weld that point as it uses a dough nut gasket to allow for play form the engine . Just get new gaskets and be done with it in 10 minutes.
  21. Try sea foaming the engine first and then do an oil change it may be as simple as old oil and carbon build up.

  23. If it were a spark wiring issue it would attemp to spark getting fuel to the rail is good but that does not mean the injectors are being fired or that the ignition is timed right.
  24. Make sure your timing belt is not snapped ,pull off its cover.
