Can someone please guide me how to remove the ceter console on a 98 LS so i can get to a shifter light. Also, I think my VSC button light went out, the actual button. Is it supposed to be illumintated at night, i cannt remember. Many thanks Dave

Well the fuse is fine, and so is the relay. Both horns are dead I think. How could this happen? Could cold weather cause this?

Guys for some reason, after sitting in 15 degree weather the horn in my 98 LS stoped workig. Can it be the fuse?? I didnt have time to check. Where is the fuse and what number is it. Also, where is the relay?

Well, I wasnt happy with the stock 98 LS 400 sound system, it was very low on bass and full clarity. My previous car, 1994 MB s500 has 12 speaker Bose system that was amazing, so you can understnad where I am coming from. I was looking for a bit more bass, nothing too serious. First I hooked up a 12 inch bazooka, that did absolutely nothing. Then I took out the worthless stock woofer from the rear deck. It got a little better but still not noticable. Then I went with a Bandpass box with 2 10 inch woofers, and boy did that do it. Bass is amazing, with good low punch that is clean. The system is still not what IO would want it to be, as far as clarity and Dynamics, but its much much better. Runing the power wire was a peace of cake too.

Guys I am a vibration freak. I hate it. Motor has a small low frequency vibration, in neutral, but also when i drive, 30-50 mph when i let go of the gas I feel a small vibration, but only when I let of gas. So i cannt ell if its the spark plugs or motor mounts. Or can it be U joints? Thanks

Thanks a lot guys. How do I know if the Timing Belt was changed? also how much is it for the belt and the job. Also, the motor has a slight vibration at higher RPMs. I suspect the engine mounts, but could it be the coils? and if so, how do I check? Maybe a spark plug?? Otherwise I love the car.

Hello. I am new to this board. My name is Dave and I am a new owner of a 98 LS 400. My 0revious car was a MB S500 1993. It was a good car but came with all of the regular stupid MB problems, like a bad climate cotrol, window regulators, hydraulic shocks etc. I was sick of it, and just wanted a car that drives well and works every day. I really wanted to get a BMW 740 but couldnt find a good one for the money. The ls has 93 k miles on it and I got it for 10000. I think its a bargain. The only problem is, VSC comes on when I start the car and goes out 15 seconds later. Does anyone know what it could be?? Bad battery?? Or the Throttle body sensor? Also how do I know if I have premium sound? It says Lexus premium sound, but doesnt say Nakamichi. Oh and how do I post pics?? Thanks.
