  1. it means it is time for a trip to the dealer to have the trouble code read but check the brake fliud also although the system is not connected to the ecu
  2. lexol is not that hard to find what part of the city are you in?
  3. cv's only click if worn when turning not going straight if it makes noises when the brakes are depressed then you have a brake problem instead
  4. you can replace some parts but it gets very weak after anything is replaced like a speaker then the amp cannot push it as it is under powered for any other speaker replacment
  5. if you have a new amp i guess you already placed th new wiring to the old speakers or are you just adding a box with its own dedicated amp to find a good remote you need a multimeter and need to try and find a wire that is 12vdc + when the radio is turned on not the car or you will get reverb very loudly use the meter and test the ant to see if there is a subtiable on there to make it simple
  6. lol i think that is not an armrest itis a console cover only unless you are a gangster and lean way back in your car
  7. isn't there another diag plug ont eh inside of the car byor in the fuse box for the obd 2
  8. seems odd as there are engine changes in the years like the ls 400 in 95 the es in 94 the other engines are identical as well is the rx having the same engine over it life and sharing it from the es 94 to now 1mz-fe my only query is over the year splits and where an adittinal 30,000 across the borad can come from but it may be that the 93 and previous used a cast iron block causing adiditonal stress from weight of moving components as opposed to aluminum
  9. it may be the starter but other problems can lead to it right after the battery aws put in did it start fine? also is it harder to start after the car has been driven or when completly cold one option is to replace the wiring to the body ground and the starter which is about a foot to the right of the battery on the engine i used to have problems with dead batteries and starting until i changed the wiring and upgraded them also make sure the terminals are very secure not loose on the battery if the starter clicks it means the solenoid is engaging to move the gears to the engine but it may be insufficent power to the starter to turn also when it finally does start does it turn over slowly or at normal speed?
  10. you obviously have a problem with a resistance open caused by cold temp once it has some heat it works here is a trick next time to see if it is the amp located under the seat turn the heat on full and blast it at the floor see if it changes anything if it does then i would suspect the amp to be replaced
  11. you can't just slip the new belt on it needs to have the alternator adjsutment screw bacekd up to give the new belt some play and slip on
  12. you say rattling usually the bushings in the rear suspension goes and causes a squeeking if it is a rattle than it would need to be checked by a shop it could be a bolt loose in the trunk
  13. there is a drain tue for the antenna as well make sure that that is attached also to its drain to outside of the vehicle
  14. the airbag light will only remain light if there is a problem and will auto reset after 6 key cycles ( or driving trips )of 20 seconds so you do have a problem if it stay on personnaly i would use the toyota parts rather than aftermarket as i find the durability and engineering in the original parts to far exceed others for a few bucks more
  15. just wondering it what regards are the noises as even a dead one doesn't make noises are you sure it is not the heatsheild rattling or something have you done an emission test to see if it is dead? as the ecu for the car has multiple 02 sensors before and after chaning the algorythm by going rich and lean and it monitors the one after the cat to make sure it is working right by seeeing if it is a stable fuel adjustment rather than following the patttern of the ecu
  16. as a mandatory back up the euros have specified it but it will be shared with all markets to have the back up as they are very strict on saftey i love to buy a product with the tuv pass on it it means the product was tested extensivly and it did not fail
  17. yah it does have that system but the drive by wire which has a small cable as a backup mandatory by the euro spec goverment is basically a sensor driven system not a cable one does the new vette have one? i know they have that amazing magnetic suspension
  18. 20 seconds for the ecu to drain all of its power to not set off any airbags or static on a sensor when disconnecting
  19. well i am east asian is that the same lmao :D but i am only 5' 7"
  20. i don't know of anyone making a ceramic busing as a bushing is made to be flexiable and ceramic is hard brittle and an exellent heat insulator plus light weight i think he just made a typo and was thinking ceramic when he meant ureathane
  21. anyone checked a fuse and to the guy who jus barged in LOL did you also replace a deck? maybe a wire for the new deck is connected to a wire for the lights by accident causing the system to malfunction try disconnecting each wire at a time to see if it returns
  22. i agree with the armour all it is crap the hide food is supposed to be very good and expensive and the lexol has had great results also
  23. the 18X 7 will fit the nuts sizing is also right i think you mean offset by et (right?) i am not sure on that though it seems pretty high usually rear drive cars or lexus are 40 mm and lower while the front ones are 43 and up
  24. i think it is the induction system that the mechanic is talking about it is supposed to make some vibrations in the intake for improved performance i am not too sure on the dynamics of the parts as i never read it in my manual
  25. i saw a car in a mag a few mnths ago similar to that but it is supposed to be based on the same car mentioned in the article to have some new kind of led lighting and also to follow a corner like the new bmw 5 series does when the wheel is turned and a few other things but that pic looks like a bulkier chrysler intrepid
