usually with lexus warranty they just replace replace , replace i had a motor ,arms, secondary motor ,wiper ecu, switch and relays just to fix a non working intermittent problem witht eh wipers 1500 warr dollars later i have perfect wipers as them for a new radio to be installed

do yourself a favour stick your finger and feel around the oil filler cap inside the engine underneath the rocker does it come out dirty and gritty a perfect one , with frequent oil changes usually keeps the oil residues down the 97 had very litte problems and most still haven't relized yet as it isn't an older model as much

it is in the rear window look for the weird grate it started on the mcv - 20 i think the 02-03 mcv30 also has no ant i like the look but i would rather the reception so i would stick with the huge rod atleast it goes back down when i play a cd

removing the console is a pain in the !Removed! route the wire around either side of the car by the carpet it is much easier

is your pin switch turning on the interior light it may be the pin around the edge of the door does not release so the car thinks the door never opened thus relocks the doors and activates the alarm try to see if it does or not it usually happens to vehicles not used much

my 94 doesn't seem to light up around the door by my cousins 93 does and when the handle is pulled it turns on the interior lights what does your year do?

it is not really a secret they will replace any 98-02 with that problem

wow how in the world did you blow the alternator i have a bunch of junk in mine and it works great i don't think the tube will do anything in that car as it has a trunk in a pathfinder it is open inside and can flow the air around unlike int eh trunk even if you replace the speaker and used it as a port

lmao i love that i keep telling my wife i am going to get her a volvo 850 turbo r she think i am nuts and hates it but that is a really fast and driveable car sell the mini van and get the honda odesey i rises really nice put some rims and a small kit and your wife will be all over the van i drive a 02 caravan at work and hate it it is awful

the 94 has no grill change it came with the 95-96 models with smoother slots the engine is different in a 94 as it is the new 1mz-fe also has a small button for outside temp on the hvac controller also a little knob to adjust the alarm beeps rather than a switch

bbsal you answered your own question it is the volatage being raised an sustained by the crap alternators with less loa on them and cooler under the hood to transmit power,which gets slowed by heat resistance

i use high pressure all the time when i clean the engine i just cover the alternator i use a good degreaser most are good anyway then cover the alt with a plastic bag and wait 10 minutes for it to degrease and tehn wash it off looks great and then use a finishing spray it is like a clear coat for the engine and looks amazing plus repels any new dirt i should have pic of the engine in the es gallery

you didn't meantion the year but water pumps have what is called as a weeping hole when the bearing starts to wear ,it begins to let fluid escape through a small hole to let you know it is on its way out it is usally right beside all the belts as it is run by one of them look for the dripping there when you get the timing belt changed it is always best to change the pump as well i didn't the first time and it went 5 months later so get the belt done at the same time usually about 800 at lexus

projectors are the glass balls instead of regualr relfictive metal to aim the beam this gives the light more focus and a much nicer look on some cars

use lithium white grease comes in a srpay can and a nozzel like wd 40 works great and doesn't wash away

hey that is some pretty good info i never thought of it like that or that much but the display definatly makes sense i thought the sun shade reflector might have caused an issue as it reflects some of the bands ( i think) i know it can have issues with alarm transmitter ant up there

umm has anyone ever seen a black interior with ivory( they look nothign like my friends tan ones, those are more white) looking seats? i also thought there was a different stiching style for the leather on the coach , meaning that the pieces of leather were shaped different and what about 2 tone door panels coloured like that? i love them but have never seen them also the badge cannot be seen on any pic from the outside only a close up one? notice the interior carpet peeling back from around the bottom of the radio also and i thought only camry's has the small little cover on them while the lexus one was full length of the engine just my odditieds of the car

my friend has a black with tan int on his 96 so it is a factory match
