1. they are not mad ethat way but if the user doesn't depress the button all the way it causes arcing which leaves carbon trails on the contacts which increase its resistance another problem is the alternator and power wires which i have also changed to elivitae some of the other problems also
2. ok it sounds more and more like motor mounts if you use a lower gear to raise the rpms does the vibration stop also
3. i am sorry i misread the first post you are talking about the 3rd high mount brake light ,right? it usually pulls forward towards thefront of the car just a pain in the !Removed! to get out
4. possibiities are egr valve staying open but that has a seperate sesnor code also was only a problem with the first gen 1mz-fe engine your maf may be reading wrong or there might be a hole in the intake pipe causing it to suck more ari in after the air filter and maf sensor low fuel pressure but that is unlikley also jpi might have a good idea
5. no problem and you can refer to me as sk it is easier to type
6. take a look at the other older threads they ll mention armour all as junk and some other interesting ideas of woolite to clean and coco butter to condition take a look
7. ok my windows have been a problem for a while i ordered a used master switch form cali and it was out of a 92 cmary and it was very different inside as i was going to cannibalize it for electrical parts it seems as i opened up my switches for the windows that the contacts had been covered in black carbon from arcing contacts so i cleaned them all up and they work fine now with the exception of one of my buttons the oin is broken mad ea good difference basically had to remove the door panel and then the master switch then slowly open it up and clean the contacts which do not like to stay in place but it was worth saving the 250 for a new one
8. it is a matter of perspective as a rule of thumb throw it out but if yo think there is good parts still then i guess you can it is like spliting hairs if we cannot see it , to judge it
9. yes they can it is a toyota camry engine after all
10. i wouldn't use wd40 as it might damge the wood finish below a good cleaner like windex or spray clean form most dealers or spray nine on a q tip run along the rails should help alot then use some white grease or siicone spray on the track
11. if it is when you are stopped as well then it is not the drive shaft as it is not moving might be the balancer or if there is a loss of power also might be the timing on the belt is off a tooth the mounts might be suspect also
12. stem don't go bad easily they usually break on the rubber part ut if it is covered by metal i am not sure how it is getting corroded might just be a sales pitch
13. UMM are you talking about the k&n drop on filter or one of those injen short pipes? the filter make no more noise than a regualar one does?
14. If all points are not included it will be assumed you are being vague to defraud a member which will not be tolerated, the thread will be removed with no further explanation. So please do it right the first time. New members cannot post any for sale items. Do not post a for sale item in another forum to bypass the filter as you will be warned/banned and the thread removed. The only way to post a new a for sale thread being a new member is to become a gold member .This is done so that you can support the club which you would choose to use to sell your items. It is a full circle deal, you help the club the club helps you. All posts in the buy and sell section MUST!!! 1. post a location of the seller 2. have an asking price 3. state if new or used( then how old ) 4. receipt from original purchase, including where it was purchased 5. your name ( should be no problem if you would like someones money in exchange ) 6. Shipping, if it is included or not and how much to areas 7. NO EBAY LINKS. If you have an eBay auction it will cost you to have a link placed on the LOC to receive more dedicated Lexus owners traffic to your auction. You are selling it on eBay to make as much as you can ,not to help a fellow Lexus owner getting a part. 8,THIS IS A MUST, NO BUMPING OR MOVING THE THREAD UP,unless you change the price or something is sold to add or remove from the thread. You bump and it WILL be locked. things to keep in mind is : If you are selling tires, state the tires size speed rating ,model+ make and name of company who makes them eg. 225/40 18 z toyo proxes t1-s also a $2 tread depth gauge would also be good to state the true actual thread depth, as everyone says it has 80% left If selling rims state the size width offset and curb damage and what car it was on. If selling a product that is model specific ,please do not double post it in the buy and sell section and then the model forum section , the rest will be deleted . please state if you have a pay pal account and it is is verified as well , if you do. If you are a new member to the LOC and are trying to sell something please be as specific as possible to every detail possible of the product. As this forum is not a buy and sell for business with free advertising. If it is felt you are a business the post will be deleted and you will have 48 hours to respond . this information is to protect the members of the "LOC" if you do not agree with protecting anyone's interests besides yourself, then please do not post If you are a business please contact myself or another team moderator /admin for detail on opening an advertising account this goes for group buys as well they must be ok'd first by the club before being posted thank you
15. sorry i am lost on what you are saying do you press the cupholder bar of wood and the CH does not automatically come out unless you pull it out or it just wont come out even if you pull on it i would sayt eh tracks arre full of coke orsome sugar base that is gumming up it claen em and should be ok after
16. you need to remove the trim around the trunk by the light to acess the nuts
17. if you are talking about a paint clay bar ? then you throw it out basically it will pick up small bits of dirt and rocks which are hard to remove without embeding it more in the cars paint
18. a valve stem is about $1 each and to replace them after means to remove the tire up to you on costs
19. they may have a longer set the offset is bigger on the new rims causing more of it to be taken up by the rim and not the bolt it should help relive the pressure there should be a spacer kit from h and r since you are on one of the most popular bolt patterns basically has newer longer bolts to go on the rims but the spacer has flush fit nuts that recess into the spacer it might work if they make it and there is room for it under the fender
20. i forgot to answer the over filling part basicaly if you overfill the oil for the engine it will cause splashing which causes oil foaming and cavataition meaning the oil can no longer do its job also reduces it heat diapation properties and uses more gas as it it is moving against the oil now when the crank turns and dips in the oil pan in the tranny it will basically do the same but manily only make air bubbles
21. i would say there is more pressure on that side of the car which usually happens another question is are the studs long enough to get a good grip on the rims and nut sometimes if they are shorter they will cause an increase in pressure near the end of the nut which has a very low threshold for pressure are you usign spacers at all for the new rims?
22. 8 studs ? are the rims original toyota/lexus ones do you have the proper nuts? as they have a special tapered edge that toyota likes to use that might be the reason they are breaking go to the dealer and order one and look if there is a difference
23. i think what you are saying is you bought some suspension that is an adjustable strut and eibach springs and you want to know if you should replace them and get coilovers instead right? if you like the ride then keep what you have coilovers are only good for ride height adjusments anything that is more adjustable cost a good bit of change
24. you would get that nice pimp one down the road you said you liked ;)
25. good thought stevie i gues he will have to check with a mod :whistles: oh that's me and the other guys basically the group buys will be happening shortly when the memberships are available so there will be acess to a larger # of group buys for the LOC just sit tight :(
