if you can count flashes of the engine light to get engine codes you are obd 1 with obds there are thousands of codes there should be an emmision sticker in your engine bay ,it may contain the info for obd2 or 1

i had mine check it was just the nut that holds the wheel to the stalk if it comes off the wheel would come off in your hand. the car has a variable rate steering pump which makes it easy to park btw that makes no sense like someone sitting on leather from under the steering wheel. :(

get someone to push the hood down while you pull the handle , it shoudl release once they let up on it,you probably got somethnig stuck ni there causing too much upwards force on the hood causing it not to be able to release

you need to isolate the shake it could be anything from the engine trying to stall to a mount, you can see the car ,take a look something is worn in the tranny ,probably a gear and slider causing it to jiggle around. you need to get it rebuilt

look for a hose on the booster to see if it is vacum assist. do you get any assist at idle and the engien reved ?

if you are considering a kuhmo then you are being cheap they are the worst garbage tire on the face of the each ,lots of rice mobiles have them as tehy want rims but can;t afford to get proper tires ,so they stick garbage kuhmo's on if you want something cheap try anything but a kuhmo tire

they make stickers to go over the stickers on ebay also just getting a plain peice of vinyl will cover nicely or use a heat gun and slowly take it off but it usually pulls and leaves small pills on it.

VMF you are right the obd2 and obd1 plugs look the exact same but that is where you information ends. October 1993 was the first release date of lexus' first as well as the worlds first obd2 compliant with 1mz-fe for the 94 and up ES 300 with the death of the iron block 3vz-fe for the north american market but continued in the Asian and european ones with out emmision laws for it. For all other cars and makers the deadline for North american compliance was release date of 97 models as well as the srs airbag system with data crash recorder. So where is the question you guys have , and why can;t it be 1uz-? you should have read my FAQ it is all there in black and beige . :)
