  1. to have your piston rotate to activate it means it is used to activate the ebrake no seperate system like most other lexus.my write up is in the workshop tutorials section
  2. are you sure the oem parts such as the door handle don;t come already painted?
  3. the noise is becuse the amp turns on before the head unit you need a turn on that comes on after the head unit .
  4. hmm , funny enough i don't have a piston activated e-brake but a drum and shoe one inside the rotors hat. I never thought anyone would go back to that style of stylel as GM used it widely in the 90's on their w body cars. I hated the system but still have the $5 cube that attaches to a ratchet and turns the piston to rotate it inside again.
  5. I used mobil 1 synthetic atf fluid and had problems as did other people
  6. It is real easy it just looks complex here is a post i made http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=14495&hl= On an ES their are 3 main ground points 1 - under the battery tray , .5 feet 1 - to the transmission , 1.5 feet 1+ to the starter, 1 foot everything else is not high current and is usually fine. 5 feet 0-1 gauge wire max ,$25 6 0-1 gauge gold teminals $15
  7. extend the piping to where the stock openign is to make it cold air which breathes outside the engine bay ,heatsheilds are good but should only be used when a cold air is not an option like many VW
  8. 94 ES is obd2 if they plugged a module into the diag port it will not show any other problems other than those associated with the engine and its emission related equipment. So if the light is on then you have a problem and a basic hand scanner that reads codes will not show anycode as their are none for the abs, srs, trac or anyother vehicle electronics
  9. They would be good but if you can change a battery you can instll the wires yourself for sure. It costs about $20 for wire and gold terminals
  10. your 92 definatly has no different equipment needed or installed than a camry
  11. depends manily on the offsets of the steelies to clear the caliper
  12. mgiht as well put them on ES windsheilds also as it is the same a541e tranny in them but not awd. All tehy need are new filters with a filter medai not some stupid mesh, once that is done or adding a $40 external inline trany filter the tranny will last forever as the contaminents are gone.
  13. You can use a large C clamp for a couple of bucks which is much cheaper and works great also I have 4 to do all of mine at the same time to remove all air in the calipers to bleed them
  14. lol your comparing peak horsepower like it means something. the torque curve of an inline 6 by the general nature of the design is made to be long low and wide to give a nice even amount of power across the band. An es doesn;t stand a chance even with an intake and exhaust ?????????????????? The SC wil get all over it as the ES wakes up at around 5000 rpm while the sc has already been their and done that.
  15. If a sedan of my choosing was in here it would be a GS430
  16. they come with 16's for 97 and up 92-96 are 15's no clue on es250's
  17. it has very nice coach perforated leather seats different rims mats and comes with luggage also special badging and grilles. It is a very nice vehicle and offered usually in one colour black or dark grey
  18. can't say for sure but it looks liek the 3 main screws need to be removed and it should pry off, the hose clamps are reusable. I would remove the whole throttle assembly intact and clean with the throttle body cleaner and a tooth brush then blow it out with a can of compressed air
  19. I changed all the wires to the battery when i replaced mine to an optima as well as 5 other customers
  20. If the abs light is on the abs is not working as it shuts down and turns on the light iw oul guess the tranny shop punded on an axle and broke the sensors which are very sensative to movement besides what year is the car
  21. I say the spoiler is wrong but the lexus script is supposed to be on the left side not right ,i think
  22. prestone makes a $12 flush kit with t's it is on mine and it is great for a reverse flush with my garden hose
  23. then they will be fine for you. those type of impedance outputs are great for prymaid legacy and other low end audio but bass doesn't need much clarity if you are only trying to play it loud
