  1. thanks for the replies. they are good looking but i guess ill pass on them. thanks again LOC.
  2. i am looking at buying 4 18" baccarat mirage wheels. i was looking at some websites and they say there are for a fwd vehicle. i have a 96 lexus sc300 and as we all know it is rwd. the offset on the wheels is 20mm. will these wheels work with my sc? sorry about posting twice.
  3. i have a 2 channel RF amp. it is 4 ohm stable bridged. i currently have a 4 ohm load from my 10" woofer. my brother just gave me a 12 RF sub in a box. both the 10 and the 12 are 4ohm single voice coil speakers. if i wired these to make an 8ohm load would it harm the amp if it were bridged? woudl it run less power? thank you.
  4. the only crossover i which is not much of a crossover is on the amp. it had a +0,+6,+12, and an HP, LP. and thats it. its a RF 201s. not a big amp but my brother gave it to me so i cant complain.
  5. thank you guys for all your help. i just talked to "car toys" the guy there said that in these cars, some VW's and audis, if you use high level inputs you will get that sound from the sub. the only way to cure it is to change out the headnit. anyon ehear about this? geuss i better start saving for that lcd screen.
  6. do you know where the ACC wire would be on the antenna, for some reason my voltmeter is not working
  7. 1st i grounded it to what i think is the shock brackets: to the left and right of the gas tank there are three bolts. now it is grounded to one of the top left bolt that holds in the gas tank. does that ground isolator take out that pop?
  8. would the antenna remote come on after the HU?
  9. the pitch doesnt change. it only makes the noise when i turn on the car, or turn off the radio and the car is still on. it mainly sounds like a pop, or a brrrrrrrr sound. thanks for the help.
  10. i also got that crack/pop when i had the remote lead going from the cig lighter wire. i'll try the power antenna, but i just may end up taking it to the shop to install.
  11. i just installed my new pioneer sub and it sounds really good. i have a RF 2001s using the high level inputs. when i turn off the radio i a loud vrrrrrrrr noise coming from the sub. i checked all the wires and they look good. i ahve tried rewiring everything but havent had any luck. im to the point where i am just going to put a switch in the car and always use that after the radio comes on and before it goes off. ahhh. this is driving me crazy. any help?????
  12. first let me say thank you guys so far. one more thing, so i dropped everything in, and it sounds really good, i have the remote lead hooked into the stock amps ACC. when i turn the car on, it gives me a loud noise from the sub. ince the headunit turns on it stops. this noise is only when the car is turned and right before the radio powers up. then it sounds good. any advice on this?
  13. would the radio fuse #2 be a switched fuse? i have it hooked to the cig lighter wire right now and i heard that it will give me feedback, such as a whining noise. i will be dropping the sub into tonight, so i will know 100%. i tried using the diagrams from technicalhelp4u.com but for some reason, the "acc" wire reads it gets 8v but when i wire it to the amp, the amp doesnt come on. please help
  14. ok, so i hooked up my amp today. i am having trouble with the remote turn on lead. i tried wiring it to the OE sub amp; when i used the blue w/ white stripe and nothing. when i tried using the wire that turns into the red wire after the harness. i tried finding the cell phone wire, but had no luck removing the console. it is more than the 2 screws at the back of the console. so i was runnning out of time so i wired it to the cig lighter and it stays on even when the radio is off. the only thing i didnt do get the back off the OE headunit. can any one help me on this matter?
  15. my clutch is starting to get a small whine when i the car is idle and my foot is off the clutch. when i press it in the noise goes away. i was told that it is most likely the throwout bearing. i was reccomended to change everything. when i change it should i stick with the OE clutch or should i look into a performance clutch. if anyone comments on the performance clutch. what should i go with?
