  1. srs keep memory until cleared . you need to find out what code it is getting.
  2. i think there are modules called lock picks that will auto overide it for you.
  3. I popped off the key surround trim and sprayed like no tommorow with small shots of pb blaster , then brake cleaner . The key slips in and out like velvet now. Main thing is to keep the actual key blade clean first.
  4. Who really cares anymore ! Gas is so cheap . I feel like a teenager in the 90's again where $20 bucks will actually get me somewhere.
  5. I use bullock auto , tell them i sent you . Just mention the Green LS on air suspension. Andy is from Don valley lexus. The prices are good and they inspect for free with other work. Best part is they lay off the BS
  6. Buy a good amp like the JL 500/1 V2 and it has one built in.
  7. shift lock or overdrive overdrive is a gear shift lock is something you press in to release the shifter when the car battery is dead
  8. You need to buy parts and it won't be cheap.
  9. How far away is the next closest dealer within 100 miles?
  10. 95 does not have slider pins , they have 4 piston calipers. You need to lube each piston behind the seals on every service . Also make sure the seals are not cracked. This makes it feel as though you have warped rotors by pedal feedback but the pistons are being unevenly applied instead. Common for mechanics not to do this but a technician should know better .
  11. only the gs has to have the engine moved not removed.
  12. just pry it up to pop off the lower trim under the cluster.
  13. I really have to ask why are you wasting your time with us then if you know what to do and we have no clue? All you are doing is repeating yourself over and over. If this is the tactic used at the dealer , no wonder no one is taking you or your issues seriously. Fix the car , sell the car or throw rocks at it but spinning your wheels here is not helping you fix it. Good luck and i hope you get it fixed.
  14. If the filter gets plugged the bypass valve is released by pressure. Any good filter has this including the oem Toyota ones. So if it is plugged it shifts slowly when the weather is cold outside. So you know when to change it. The transmission line does not have enough pressure to press the release valve in so it shifts poorly instead.
  15. It is a kind of give and take and asking SW to not judge your personality by this thread is impossible as it is all we know. If something is not right find someone else who is not Lexus to find it. BTW how many people do you carry around a , i am looking for weights as it changes the geometry , so your weight and passengers as well as cargo.
  16. nharish this thread is way too long to read every bit of it as it lost its point a long time ago . An alignment is only as good as the parts , if 1 bushing or joint is worn , no matter what alignment you get it will be off the moment the car drives away. I have had multiple senior Lexus techs tell me that the bushings or joints are good and have to make them pull out a breaker bar to pry it in the wrong direction to see the stress fractures in the bushings. Also some tires on certain roads to multiple the crown effect as to how the treads are designed.
  17. SRK , no need to berate the guy . BTW changing oil will remove most containments that are suspended in the fluid. Problem is most of the debris is from the lining of hoses and seals , they usually redeposit them selves . So just like a heart attack blocks arteries these block lines as the fluid is allowed to carry the debris around until it finds something to attach itself to somewhere else. The filter stops this from happening as it gets a one time circulation before being caught in the filter.
  18. I am going to edit the title of this thread as it is very condescending and it seems you have realigned your thoughts since originally posting.
  19. Like any filter it will fill up with the sediment that the stainer in the pan cannot collect. So it will get blocked, It is not like a normal high pressure line so it starts to shift sluggishly when it is blocked. If the line had enough pressure it would pressure the release valve and by pass the filter.
  20. the lug nuts hold them , OEM rotors usually have 2 screws on the hubs to hold them in place tightly as well.
  21. It is $15 if he makes a kit and makes $5 big deal , he gives it as one option and posed it to us to decide. He will not get rich from the idea and is not trying to with its price point. It is not used products so his time is at least worth $5. It is worth it and the only problem is when the filter might get plugged. It does however have a bypass valve for that problem if it occurs. Extra filtration and an additional magnet are never a bad thing. I know when to change mine when i start my car cold in winter it will either shift slowly or the steering is hard to turn.
  22. on clublexus a guy named puredrifter has a thread showing wires to tap.
