  1. those trouble codes are for the hvac system not the engine codes
  2. thanks i know what to look for now.
  3. it is easy for your obd1 car it only has about 30 or 40 codes compared to the obd2 system with a few thousand codes ebay is best and cheap
  4. It will be easier to tell with pics. If the base is cracked you should atleast seal it back with some clear silicone with a touch of water to smooth it out with your finger. This will prevent any water from dripping inside the car.
  5. fyi the 94 is straight coilon plug the 95/96 and later changed to the rear banks using plug wires with a seperate coil
  6. the lower cladding is painted seperatly and made of ureathane so it will produce a slightly different colour
  7. sounds like a bad injector did you clean the cold start one in the manifold also? did you clean the maf
  8. Nice work with alot of info, another reason i stick to N/A not because i don;t like them but it is alot of info to engineer something properly.
  9. look for the camry ones the same years that is what i did to get mine. I don't even remeber who makes mine, it might be in my Egarage
  10. get the OEM y pipe the flex is the part that broke and cheap ones will break easier all over again.
  11. Ahh, nice you almost make me feel like picking up the ES torch again . I see why most turbos replace the battery to the trunk and put the turbo in its old spot. Your turbo after the y-collector and flex pipe extenstions is almost going to be under your armrest by the resonator or are you not using flex pipes?
  12. check the maintance section on how to do a free self test
  13. If you fuel pump dies then your engien runs out of gas ,so it does shut down but not because it is told 2. If an engine senses a problem, it changes its mapping of timing and sensors to what is called open loop or limp home mode. It will turn into a slow unresponsive car if needed depending on the failure. But it only shuts down if somethign completly breaks
  14. If your compressor now goes into lockup and the green light starts flashing then they did add the wrong fluid which causes the 2 to mix and foam and the compressor locks up. To repair it the cars needs to be fixed right away or the the fluids will eat the seals they are supposed to lube and the whoel a/c system will have to be completely replaced. 5000-6000 minimum for the amount of work involved
  15. Many BMW fogs do use 9006 , so don't take the HID as it is longer than a conventional halogen bulb. I can't remember about a 7 series though. www.maxbimmer.com or another one but i can;t remember its name. Also bavarianautosport has great parts pretty cheap.
  16. It flakes off and is thin so unless you prep the calipers to be very smooth they show all the ridges of the cast calipers. Get G2 from tire rack it is cheap and the results are way better. I think steviej used it after i told him the same thing then made a tutroial for it.
  17. Once you do 1 tranny pan removal/change the rest are easy. The key is to loosen the drain first if applicable then open it by hand to remove the screw quickly to prevent any splashing. Once the pan is dry (yah right) crack loose all the bolts slightly then from one corner slowly let a few bolts out .Then slowly loosen more bolts to let the pan slightly dip in the corner with no bolts to let the fluid flow out that end which is where the pan is placed to catch it.
  18. It is cheaper to find aftermarket rims in a style you like than buying oem wheels
  19. a brake light will only come on when the brake pedal is pressed ,it is not the same as the running or taillights. You need someon else to press the brakes to check them
  20. vht is crap don;t use it
  21. For a 18 inch rim what is the width i think 225 is not wide enough for an LS you should need more of a 245 40 18 tire. Funny enough i have a set of an SC430 but i doubt you want them shipped but that is the size you should be looking for depending on the rim width
  22. Are you sure it is the button and not the tranny? Otherwise remove the shifter and fix the button
  23. A good HID kit is truely plug and play with the hardest part to the install being mounting the ballasts. My kit was basically installed in 8 minutes by removing the bulbs and pluging the ballasts 9006 sockets in then inserting the bulbs. All done. HIR's are new but only applicable for 9005 and 9006 so far. No added power sources needed ,no over wattage bulbs or anything weird. It basically reflects unused infared light back onto the filament causing it to heat up and produce more light without any more expelled heat. It is made by phiilips and now toshiba. $30 a bulb on ebay of 140 for a pair elsewhere ,it is used on vipers already.
  24. no , no. I know bumping isn't a problem but they also use a similar OEM style design with a collector under the engien area while yours is under the car,or is it just the way i am seeing things?
