  1. lol very true 01gs Everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt to say the least. Having a reputation online is a very powerful thing to many. It is not so much what a members posts but how relevant and how involved they get in issues. Truthfully ,members who spend large amounts of time on the forum tend to care about maintaining there perceived reputation . So there is nothing wrong with buying or dealing with a new member just try and keep as many safe guards as possible.
  2. engine mounts
  3. LOL i bough them before he started a red flag river. He had only a few negatives which are neither here nor there to me as there are stupid sellers and buyers. I also was naive in thinking no one would try and defraud a local person. Was i wrong.
  4. suspended for 30 days changed to a warning of selling items as a new member no suspension in posting ability
  5. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY ANYTHING FROM EBay MEMBERS auto_pimp OR autopimp_USA OR satstuff_ca or 4remotes selling direct tv cards He is one of the same person. eBay and pay-pal are such a waste of time when it comes to crooks and frauds. This guy sold me 2 garbage keys and refuses to issue a refund or answer any emails after saying he would make amends prior to returning the keys. All details are fake other than his first name and address which is Geoff Gore I have removed his adress and wrong phone number From what i know he works for Royal Bank Canada but i have no department or location for him. His phone number which is answered by a young black kid with an attitude before hanging up might not be him but i doubt that. His last name seems to be Gurinder or gurinder or goreindar . Sounds Indian I am not sure as i only heard it verbally and not written. If you find any more info on him let me know or know how to get it. He also "sells" ford , Chrysler , gm , BMW , Toyota , Mercedes , Mazda , KIA , daewoo , Saab , Volvo , Volkswagen VW , Audi , infinity , acura , Honda and many more keys. Hopefully some of the many people he has defrauded will Google this page and post the detail you were robbed form also. I have contacted the Toronto Police fraud squad but have not heard back from them in 2 weeks. A few members on ebay have also contacted them so maybe they are doing something quietly.
  6. leatherique works great but if it is ripped at a seam then you need to replace it unless it is otherwise in good enough condition to save and get restiched.
  7. The cable should run under the rad support and inside the fender to inside the car.
  8. first register the car with lexus.com and order a new manual for free
  9. The manifold does need to be removed to access the starter unless it is a tech who does them all the time and knows the trick to getting it out the back. The starter solenoid activates the high powered motor. A relay can be related to a solenoid as it is basically a small current field to turn on a larger one.
  10. do you have these still taggaer , update or I'll close it for you? I would not do any trading with a member on the LOC who is not always online and has a reputation with this community unless it is a person to person exchange. Buyer beware.
  11. your right i would tell him that :)
  12. Have you put the car in the air and spun the wheels yet? Bad tires can be unbelivable. I just took off my 20's for the winter and because the vibration was driving me nuts. Mine was a bad tire
  13. kuhmo tires are garbage (all of them) sidewall ruptures , no manufacture support and low grip in any situation. I have had 3 sets and hate them with a passion. Bridgestone and BF Goodrich offer the most noise possible once the tires start to wear and it only gets worse. Toyo makes one of the most quietest tires around that have a good amount of grip but are slightly pricey and wear quickly if driven hard in corners especially. The Goodyear f1's seem to have been reviewed well by car and driver. My Yokohama parada's i had were the most stickiest tire i ever owned, it would lock up and smoke if i hit a corner to hard and i loved them. Only problem is the tires started to wear and the noise was so unbearable.
  14. Don't keep that size of tire on the 300 that is alot more power usuage than the tranny will want to keep working. There are many spacers available. 3mm ones are easy to use with no mods but there are many who find them to cause the wheels to seperate from the hub as they do not fit flush. I am not sure you have enough room to even fit a tire of 255 on a 300 so you may move from the inside fender to the outside one.
  15. details ??? what does everything mean post in a full sentence so we can get a full understanding of what you are trying to say.
  16. There is another thread in the ES section where an owners is replacing the rubber ones.
  17. If you warp rotors very shortly after installing them(less than 5000miles) It is because you did not lube the sliders or have a sticking caliper/piston or bought a really cheap material for the rotors or the #1 reason you need to learn how to drive better and are heating them up by not being fluid in your application of the brakes. Case in point , i have never had to replace any of my rotors on my cars one i got rid of the original ones the cars came with. No vibrations no warping and no pitting. All of them have about 20 000 km on them . Many others i know and have done their brakes , i have had to change them 2-3 times in the same time frame and driving environment. Case in point ,look at the surface of your rotors are they shiny and smooth slightly rough pitted with lines pitted with lines and some rust spots? The rougher your rotors look the more pressure you are applying to them causing them to wear more . So unless you are driving a obstacle course you are braking with too much force without leaving enough space or looking far enough down the road to anticipate the change in momentum. Change that way you drive and save money in gas and part replacement.
  18. I only buy cleaning products from CT car parts are usually jut poor quality overall. The fail-safe thermostat is basically a bypass hole that keeps the coolant always flowing so that it can physically overheat caused by a faulty thermostat. It is an interesting idea but should be kept to running on taxis, they never need to be warmed up as they never turn off. They also could get a fare or two more before they seize the engines from overheating.
  19. If you have to machine a rotor before installing a new one then you 1. are not buying OEM 2. what kind of crap doesn't even have enough quality to make the rotors straight oh yah never waste your time maching a rotor if it is pulsing just get a new one from a name you know like Toyota brembo or other big names.
  20. Get your alternator checked. It may be workign properly but that slight variance in power can cause problems.
  21. You have to open the door panel and replace either a small clip or buy a new handle. Until you open up the door there is no way of knowing which one.
  22. Glad to hear they worked out. Where did you get the rings and how much?
  23. lextreme.com has all the simple answers on where to start on the car for ideas
