  2. Cooking for my family, as I do every year..must be good they keep coming back!!
  3. Hi Craig, I read that report a few days ago...I have already been notified by Lexus to bring my 02 in to have the "Lexus Link" removed. As I said in an earlier thread, I am taking a wait and see position on this. I suspect a class action suit is in the works.
  4. It's True Buford !!!....NC aka Rob aka "The Hamma" is the nicest smart-!Removed! in the Club...lol
  5. Keep your head down Josh....Stay safe!!! We are pulling and praying for you... ;)
  6. Could be high voltage arcing which subsides when the car warms up due to expansion...I would pull that cover and inspect the plug wires...
  7. Check the harness going from the front of the door into the cabin............Sounds like it's getting pinched.
  8. Very Nice!! Best of luck with her....
  9. LOL..don't forget to put a couple of bricks in your trunk for emergencies!!!! ;)
  10. Did you do the 90k service, which includes the water pump?
  11. You are too kind....Thanks a lot for sharing... ;)
  12. Hi Craig, Been watching your posts and feel a total frustration as to what is the problem with your LS as you have truly put in an effort. I can think of no other member that has tried as hard as you have and I am truly sorry you have an LS that dogs you. Sometimes we have to move on in life and I believe now is the time ,in your case. Your Chrysler is a fine machine and time to enjoy it. God speed my friend and move on knowing you have done a great job and added a valuable lot of input. I'm at a loss as to your problem with the LS and truly feel one day it will be solved. Until then, don't give it a second thought and enjoy the Chrysler. ;) You are a Stand Up Guy!!! Ralph
  13. nicely put rw ...they are all fine, fine automobiles and share a well rounded bloodline no matter the year, only my opinion and observations. When you drive out the driveway and you go down the road, how content are you? My 1990 feels as good as the 2002..not as many bells and whistles on the 90 but a pure, "solid" car as I have never experienced in my lifetime and I have owned them all. No list needed....I am shooting for a 600hl..wish me luck..but you guys are the best. They are all a pleasure and believe me, the best ever.
  14. My thought is that since it will no longer be supported by Lexus..it becomes a liability for them in case you need it and it does not respond....I am not sure what to do nor am I in a hurry and will take a wait and see attitude until I get more info.
  15. So thrilled for you...give us full reports...Congratulations!!!! Gregg
  16. If you have a weak connection at the battery you can still have lights but not enough juice to start. I would pull and clean the connectors and make em tite before anything else.
  17. SO sorry Josh my friend.......
  18. This car is pretty impressive with 4 wheel drive and LED headlights.....443HP ...Driver Camera ETC... http://www.autospies.com/news/More-Lexus-L...L-Details-8833/ Comments are interestig too!!! $105K Ouch..
  19. Somehow, I just knew "Da Hamma" would be "Down" on that....LOL..
  20. I have the grey birds eye in my 02 and find it calming to the eye. Went to a Toyota Dealer for some touch up paint and the saleman called over others to see it. They were wondering if Toyota had the option on the Avalon...everyone that sits in mine is so pleasantly surprised at the color and high tech look over the bright wood contrast..blends perfectly with the dash..maybe I am prejudiced..lol..I for one think it is a classy signature. I always notice a Lexus coming in the opposite direction and the first thing I see is the wood steering wheel. Not bad, but I like to be a bit different. It also matches my salt and pepper hair..lol. All tough decisions and all fun in the end. Love my 02 and look forward to an 07 in two years ...as I always wait and am always satisfied with my value of purchase...FourSixOh... I am jealous too..Best of Luck..
  21. FourSixOh.... I must commend you and have watched your thread and also find it informative and rather unbiased in a way that..yes the Germans are Auotbahn enthusiast and yes they have a particular edge in handling. Albeit said..I took note of the Phaeton's trade in value since your ownership and trying to not be a zealot and please don't take this the wrong way..In 2004 you paid I would say in the neighborhood of $105k and the private sale value is approximately $35k today..in fairness the 04 Lexus today at an original invoice similarly equipped at $56k has a private resale value of $39k...plus or minus either side.. All that been said..The Lexus is a value in not only workmanship and dependability ..but the price and retained value, In my opinion, far outweigh the high speed chasing I have never had an inkling to do. LOL..not lately. Maybe you should sit back and enjoy the ride...Thanks for your continued input and you did a good thing buying a Lexus..Welcome to the Club.
  22. I assume he is in the Desert in Oman, Jordan......................
  23. RFeldes

    Hamma' Zone

LOL..............If they only knew who found them...the "Hamma" himself... :whistles:
  24. Perserverence pays and I would call Lexus service "national" and not deal with the local...absolutely not right!! Have not had a TSB on mine but if you are correct, I would appreciate the TSB #.
  25. Don't know your name first hand India and have watched you mature here and can only say..you are refreshing and I was raised in India from 15 to 17 years of age..truly not a finer, kinder, group of age old souls on the planet. Our next Door neighbor is building a massive home on the the Lake and flew in a Hindu Priest for the blessing...how cool.. They are truly welcome neighbors as you are a welcome friend. Come see us anytime...Ralph
