  1. What exactly did you do with the tweezers? Inquiring minds want to know!😏
  2. Hello, Mukund. Could you specify what type of app you are referring to?
  3. Hello, Daniel. Mechanics would typically add a fluorescent dye into the engine oil, run the engine for a period of time (or have you return after a number of days driving, then use a UV detection light to see where the leak or leaks are originating.
  4. Good. Isn't there a key hole to manually unlock the door?
  5. Did you flex the belt to see if there are any cracks? What year did you have the belt replaced?
  6. Hello, Jerry. I am not surprised that a 32 year-old part has been discontinued. Your options are: 1. Try to find the same car in an auto scrapyard with the hope that its actuator is still functional. 2. Remove the one in your car and try to repair it.
  7. Hopefully, they have the same part number.
  8. Have you checked www.crutchfield.com?
  9. I would say so, but hopefully, a long-time owner will chime in. Regarding your second sentence. If the vehicle was subjected to mostly short trips, I'd verify that oil changes were completed by the recommended length of time, not by mileage. Whenever I take out any of our vehicles, I make sure that I include at least 15 miles of highway. That way, the oil gets fully hot and the battery, fully charged (topped off).
  10. The first thing I would do is compare the previous owner's receipts with the vehicle's maintenance schedule to see if there were any gaps. According to Consumer Reports, the RX330 has been very reliable, but at its current age, maintenance adherence over time is very important.
  11. Hi, Jenn. How did you check the fuses? They should be checked with a multimeter.
  12. I remember from when ours was new that there are certain changes to functions that only the dealership can do. There could be an electronic tool that they plug into the OBD II port, that is now available to the public.
  13. Hi, Carol Anne. Have you tried this? Lexus UX low tire pressure warning light causes, how to reset (wheelsjoint.com)
  14. I guess he should've bought a Kia EV6 GT. 0-60 MPH is in 3.2 seconds. Would it be as reliable as a Lexus? HIGHLY UNLIKELY!
  15. I saw a post like this (but in the UK where the drivers side is opposite that in the US) that included mention of bank 2 being on the passenger side, which makes sense if the steering wheel is on the opposite side of vehicles in the US.
  16. Typically, relays are in a box in the engine bay.
  17. I think the best thing to do is replace it, if possible.
  18. Usually, a bouncy ride indicates worn out shock absorbers.
  19. The interior fuse box is located underneath the glove box. You will need to remove the trim and then you can see the fuse box as you lie on your back looking up below and behind the glove box. It can be difficult to spot and is about 6" x 3"
  20. Our 2006 RX400h is now 18 years old and I've ALWAYS used 89 octane (mid grade) fuel. I interpreted the owners manual as saying that 89 is perfectly acceptable, and it has been. Our average MPG is about the same as yours. I do suspect that higher octane may be beneficial when the ambient temperature is very high. Since we live within 10 miles of the coast, the temps here are rarely over 80 degrees F.
  21. Check the alternator, first. If it was not adequately charging your battery, the engine could stall, especially if you were using your wipers or air conditioning.
  22. My first guess would be that a wiring harness was not reconnected, but they should also check for blown fuses. You are correct in that they are almost certainly fully responsible.
