  1. The new RX is actually growing on me a lot...
  2. Also...18" tires will not fit on the stock wheels. The 19s are an upgrade, you would have to buy the 18" wheels and sell her 19s to make 18" tires fit...
  3. NY and NJ both are awful about things like that. Real estate taxes up there are out of control too...
  4. Yuck... Still though you're moving from NYS to WA...does WA have a similar law?
  5. I agree completely...and there will be a computer update that will fix the issue very simply. This is hardy a "safety emergency, don't buy!" scenario though. CR never even did that with the Explorer and the Firestone tires! The Explorer was always a "Best Buy". Toyota's sales just came out...and they're not bad actually.
  6. Don't use a Mr Clean magic eraser. They are way too abrasive and have a bleach-like cleaner that can discolor the plastic. Use a good cleaner designed for automotive vinyl. A solution of 1:5 water:woolite works well.
  7. Yes but its rare !!! so it can command more money now !!! But...can it really? If there was no demand new...is there demand now?
  8. Try cleaning and treating the rubber gasket around the moonroof glass also. Mine clicks on my 300 and when I clean that gasket and treat it with some 303 it goes away...
  9. Issue is I don't really want an '07 460...I'd want an '08 460 because of the first year wind noise problems. The '08s are more than I want to spend still.
  10. Half your pictures are new 7s...half are old 7s. The shots next to your LS are the previous 7, while the side and rear wheel shots are the new 7.
  11. It really depends on where you are. I have Verizon and my business partner has Sprint...we have identical BlackBerrys. His drops calls more than mine...that I do know... His service is a LOT LOT cheaper though.
  12. Geico is great until you have a claim. My mother had Geico for years and then she put my father on her policy when they got married and he had a claim...dropped them straight away. I prefer having an insurance agent that I can talk to and trust so for me, Geico is not something I would be interested in. Nor is Progressive, eSurance, all those agentless carriers. Even if I have to pay a little more. Not sure about American Family...try googling them. Just because an insurance company denied your soldier's claim doesn't mean they had the right to do that. I would look into what Barry is saying. That makes a lot of sense to me...
  13. That particular '06 wasn't clean enough for me. Right color combo but fairly rough inside and out. Still looking...after driving a '10 though and sitting in that UL I'm conflicted with old vs new again! I drove the ES and the 06 LS back to back and the ES is really 95% of what the LS is, the body style is a lot newer and more modern too. At $44k for a new UL ES I can get into an '07 LS460 too...so if I've decided to spend a little more I can get something newer. Conflicted conflicted.
  14. I gotta agree with Jim. The cost of your insurance really depends a lot on where you live...down to the zipcode. Insurance companies look at the risk of your policy and adjust your premium to reflect the amount of exposure vs reward they are willing to take on. Some states are just really bad on insurance rates...NJ for instance. If all the other carriers are about the same...Geico isn't ripping you off. Your option would be to sell your cars and not drive. Driving isn't a right...its a privilege you have to pay for. You can always bump the coverage way down to the minimum required by law and self-insure the rest to get the cost down to a reasonable cost. It sucks...but life sucks sometimes. Don't mean to sound crass, but you know you can count on me to tell you like it is ;) Be sure about the residency and the insurance. All you need is to have a claim and then the company deny it because they figure out you really live in WA. If they can find a way to deny a claim...they will.
  15. What I find hilarious about this is...what did we all do before we had stability control? Remember back when people knew how to drive cars and get themselves out of skids without the aid of skid control systems? So the skid control doesn't work well, doesn't make the vehicle unsafe. Skid control systems aren"t required by law and they aren't a replacement for driving skill. I suppose CR should go back and label all the SUVs without skid control they've given stellar ratings for "Unsafe/Don't Buy" too. Now the VSC system needs to be repaired, they'll design a computer program to do that and it'll be no big deal. Unsafe? This is CR trying to cash in on the Toyota mayhem IMHO.
  16. Right...we're jealous. Thats it. He figured us out guys. The gig is up! Seriously though, as you grow up you will understand that there are good kinds of attention...and bad kinds of attention.
  17. Just a reminder of what you said earlier: Might want to continue to work on that.
  18. Oh yeah...you're going to feel a big difference in steering response from your M to the ES. The M is much firmer and the steering is heavier. Plus the ES is FWD, and personally I think FWD cars always feel like they have lighter steering than RWD cars...
  19. What type of car are you coming from? The ES has always had pretty light steering...
  20. Haha! Thats a good one...
  21. Why should I change my signature and check my post?!?
  22. Good...I hope it works out for you...keep us posted.
  23. I'd buy the 2006... I wouldn't buy an '07 personally, people have had too many issues with rattles and chugging engines, etc. An '08...sure...but I'd pass on the '07.
  24. What are the tires inflated to? Make sure they are inflated to the pressure as posted on the driver's doorframe. I bet they're overinflated.
