  1. I agree. You also have the added issue that the fuel pump is cooled by the fuel running through it, if you run the tank too low you run the risk of having it overheat and shortening its life. Whats the difference? I always refuel when the range gets down to about 50 miles.
  2. I don't think I would use Dawn, its a very harsh soap. An old detailers trick is Woolite:Water 1:6. If you read the manual on most luxyrt cars it reccomends a "Solution of 5% natural detergent for wool" Well...thats woolite. Works great.
  3. Go to www.homelink.com Put in the year, make & model of your vehicle Put in the make and model of your opener It will spit out instructions specific to both, very easy.
  4. Its not a BS excuse. The dealer is an independent business, they need to check with the regional manager to be sure that they will pay for the replacement before they promise you they can do it. Its not the service manager's decision. If he says they'll do it and Lexus won't approve it, the dealer will be stuck with replacing your wheels at their own cost or going back on what they told you. The dealer WANTS Lexus to cover the repair...because they get paid. This misconcieved notion that the DEALER doesn't want to approve warranty work is incorrect.
  5. I would say you were definitely pressing both the brake and gas at the same time, thats the only explanation that makes sense.
  6. Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me too, unlike those IS' on AutoTrader too you know the service history and history of yours...
  7. It could be an oversight too. A couple CT pictures I saw online had the badge missing but pictures of the acual car clearly show the badge there.
  8. Is the back of the key or the front of the key broken? The back of the key is molded to the blank, but the front is like a cover. You can buy just that cover online and it may solve your problem. These keys are TERRIBLE!
  9. I think he wants to replace the whole lamp housing not just the bulb. You don't want to have that professionally repaired? Thats ugly as hell...
  10. I also had an '07 loaner once with no nav and bluetooth. The buttons are the easiest way to know. Phone buttons? Bluetooth. No buttons? No bluetooth.
  11. Completely normal. My '03 is off by 2MPH, and I assume my ES is as well. Whats the big deal? Its 2MPH...
  12. Hey Billy, I got your PM as well. Unfortunately I don't have any affiliation with ClubLexus, in fact I'm not even a member over there so theres nothing I can do to help ya... DaveGS4, CL's admin is a member here but never posts...you can try PMing him here and see if he gets it.
  13. Boy I'd be tempted to buy that... As for the wheel, my guess is the gear mechanism is obstructed, the gear for the telescope works, but the gear for the tilt has something stuck in one of the gear teeth. My Dad's '04 has the same issue, only it has begun tilting but not telescoping. My Mom is in the process of trying to decide what car to keep, it or her FX35 and thats one of the things we need to sort out before she decides...
  14. No idea about the lights...probably a bad sensor somewhere. Could be a bad tank of gas... As for the headrests I found that if you push back on the seat back as if you get something out of your pocket, or adjust your pants the headrests are easily pushed upwards. They are totally manual, so thats the only explanation...
  15. I just bought a set of those tires for the Prius and am VERY impressed with them, very quiet and smooth. I wouldn't put them on an LS because of the speed rating, but other than that... What are you going to ask for that '97?
  16. We're not going to have another thread drug off topic with the OEM vs aftermarket GPS argument again, keep your grievances to the other thread KC...
  17. Man you're gonna have a fleet!
  18. Well I just know that I get a lot of brake dust on the wheels, and with the open spokes they are easy to clean, but with the small spokes they would be very hard to clean. I would get a long handled boars hair wheel brush, you can buy them from www.griotsgarage.com
  19. I don't recall that thread, but if you got Lexus to kick in to replace your screen after you ruined it by putting a suction cup on it (why would it even occur to you that was a good idea?)...thats truly a gift.
  20. Even for the "L"?
  21. Yeah...voice recognition isn't great. Better than on our Prius...believe it or not. I named the voice Lola ;)
  22. Doing great! Yeah I drive about 1800 miles a month, plus a trip got me to 2k fast! Just any JPEG will work, under 2MB in size...if you email them to me I'll resize em for ya...I'll PM you my address...
  23. The nav traffic overlays on the map even when you don't have a destination entered. So if you are looking at the map you'll know where traffic is. It would be nice if they would announce it on the road you're on whether the destination is set or not. As for the dual AC back to single, its in the climate screen, so you have to hit climate and then hit dual. I hate that, much prefer an ordinary button for that like on my '03. Did you have nav on your '05? The interface will not be as user friendly as the Garmin, I'm still getting the hang of it vs the older system in the ES. So far, so good. You just have to use it for a while to get the hang of it...
  24. Warranty baby. I wouldn't even worry about it, just take it to the dealer.
