my valves are noisy after cold startup. It does it for the first few minutes if the engine is cold. Outside temperature hot or cold it still does it. All servicing up to date. Did not know this until I got hearing aids so do not know how long it has been this way.

My 08 has 19,480 miles on it and has given 35+ MPG at 73 mph consistently using 93 octane fuel.Travel has been mostly in the central plains with a trip last August from Oklahoma to St. Catherines, Ontario and back via Chicago. Needless to say I am very satisfied.

Mel, forgot about the push pins. A small screwdriver can pop up the push pin center portion then you simply pull the whole assembly to remove the trim panels. The key is to get the small center pin raised before attempting to remove the whole assembly. Good luck.

Go to page 3 and find the post OIL FILTER REMOVAL by Beaver1 on August 26 and read the replies. You will find the answers and the part number for the tool. Do a google search on the tool part number and it will provide numerous sources from which you can select. CHEERS!

Speedometer is off 2 mph according to my GPS which is accurate in 2 other vehicles. Lexus dealer tells me there is nothing they can do. I don't accept that to be a valid response from a professional maintenance shop. I was able to correct a motorhome by changing the dip switches but have not looked under the dash yet on this car. Just wondering if I have the only bad speedometer on the road.

Does the bottom drain plug have to be removed to take off the oil filter bowl? Apparently the Lexus shop techs tighten them excessively in my opinion.

I received a phone call saturday while traveling on an interstate highway through the bluetooth and the volume was too low to understand the conversation. Tried adjusting the volume with the radio volume but did not work. Checked the owner's manual, no help. Anybody got any ideas? THANKS!

My 08 ES350 overhead panel is totally dark at night. Wondering if it is normal to pull out a flashlight to find the garage door switch?
