If you can live without the loaner, take it to an independent shop, or even a quick lube place (just bring your Toyota filter) just watch them and check the level before you drive off. No reason to Pay Lexus $150 to change the oil and rotate the tires unless you need the loaner. I need the loaner so I figure the extra $75 is spent on a rental Lexus for the day.

You're probably not going to be able to get a Lexus tech to do it, you'd have to buy the kit and get an audio installer to do it. I'd still have gotten the Sirius and installed it like I did out of sheer cost effectiveness. The sound is great, and it only cost me around $200 installed, the part from Lexus is $500 itself...

They'll only care if you leased it with chromes, if you turn it in with chromes and you leased it with stock its a bonus for them. If this falls through and you still want the wheels, check out ebay.

Great! As for the phone, run a search in here thats a much discussed question. The phone is ancient and analog, and service for it nowadays is either impossible to find or incredibly expensive...

I called the other place and they came down to $50 more than the online price so I decided to go with them. They have a road force balancer and I wont have to deal with shipping if I have problems. They go on tomorrow at 11.

Yep. 5:1. I spray it on, rub it in, wipe it down with a wet cloth and buff it dry. Just did my whole interior yesterday and it looks brand new.

Used to be all the Lexus came standard with cloth, even the LS400. Now I think they all have standard leather except the IS300... Its a good high quality cloth like sk said, nice and soft. Some people much prefer cloth.

We have a member that just paid $1300 for just a REAR brake job on his ES300. And the V8 Lexus' cost even more to maintain. The dealers are very expensive. $600 is a good price for the 60k from Lexus. BUT, you dont have to have them serviced at the dealer...

Welcome! Its probably a C-BEST setting. The C-BEST settings can be changed by your dealer, most dealers do it free of charge. They'll have a list of the options (there are many)

I'm sure but the question is how much paint do you have left. Wetsanding and rubbing compound remove a LOT of paint. It makes the paint look smooth and great, free of orange peel but it can leave the paint film thickness dangerously thin. His swirls can be removed while removing FAR less paint than wetsanding.

Like I said, they do that because you're only paying for the chroming, not all new wheels. All new chrome wheels purchased outright from Lexus would be thousands upon thousands of dollars. Your original wheels become a "core charge" like a trade in to offset the cost to you.

The first gen LS is only about 450lbs heavier than the first gen ES, not enough to make a lot of difference. Both are very safe and reliable cars.

LF- Oh no I fully realize that the people who were badmouthing the Toyos were doing so because they don't sell them. I found them for $75 a peice online so I'm going to order them!

So the tire noise and ride are better with the Toyos than the MXV4s? I just found them for $74 each online and will probably order them tomorrow. The Falken Ziex 512 looks great too but they look a little more aggressive. Congrats on the marriage!
