I tried the same thing (rolling code issue) as I live in a condo......botton line is I can't program it so I have to live with the remote because the technology is more advanced than my 2001 Lexus so it's not compatible. :( Even called the maker of the remote to see if there was some sort of a by-pass.......nada.
  2. Just curious if anyone has any experience using Castrol Syntec 75w90 synthetic gear oil for their diffs? If so, please advise on the experience. B)
  3. Agreed it's not something entered into lightly.......I'm pushing 2 years being married to my wife now (were together 2 years before that). How do you know it's totally different sw? Your not married yet. :whistles: ;) My wife is the same person today as she was several years ago (we just have a mortgage now lol).......one just has to be sure they have chosen wisely is my best advice. I very happy to say I have. B) I don't want to put words in Karen's mouth, but I think she would have to agree. :)

  5. Isn't the 'security remote' on the actual key fob (along with the keyless entry system) on the 99 model year?
  6. In addition, Canadian vehicles are not known to suffer these problems......due to the different emission regulations between our 2 countries.
  7. Agreed, I had the same concern when I first got my ES......this is perfectly normal & is the way the vehicle has been designed. B)
  8. If one tours the plant in Cambridge (which I did) I think your mind would be at ease with the quality of workmanship there. Another plant just down the road in Woodstock, Ontario is being built as we speak to build the new Rav4. B)

  11. The styling, I agree......sharp looking car. B) One car I was most impressed with in person (but will never own personally...but love the styling) is the new Camaro. Wow that thing was REEEEEEEDDDDD! lol B)

I was quite disappointed with the new ES in person actually sw......was much too close to the Camry for my liking. :( I looked at the car up close & personal for a good 20+ minutes (from all angles) & it wasen't growing on me at all.....don't know why. I went & sat in the current generation (2006) they had there as well & for whatever reason I liked it much better as did my wife (although I will wait until I can sit in one & drive it at my local dealer when the time comes this spring). My wife & I also sat in the IS 350 too......very nice car, but I felt a tad claustraphobic because of the small cabin (seats were all the way back & low to boot). I know that's not the ride for me as the inside is quite a bit smaller than my ES.

  21. If memory serves, it was a third to halfway through the 2004 model year. I have toured the plant a little over a year ago......it's a very well oiled machine they have there. B)

  23. According to tirerack, your best bet in 18's are 215 45 18. Will they rub? I don't know......someone else would have to answer that....I have stock size on my 2001. ;)

  25. Considering the Cambridge plant 'exports' about 90 - 95%+ of what they build, I'd say it's a safe bet to assume it's for at least the North American market. ;) They would do that for just the Canadian market.....it wouldn't be very cost effective.
