  1. Yup, just called the dealer and they already have one that we are going to test drive. Very nice. It's really a great truck compared to the BMW 4.4. The BMW is almost $20,000 more, albiet 315HP vs. 270 but that's a lot of money for a few extra ponies.

  3. I can't wait until this SUV is available... the single biggest complaint I have about the 330 is the lack of power. A four-cam, 24-valve V6 engine with 270 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 251 pound-feet of torque at 4,700 rpm. B) BTW, a forum search with the words RX-350 came up empty... I find that hard to believe!!
  4. Sorry to hear that, but glad your family is ok.. So Lexus lied to us when they showed all those RX commercials with the headlights turning 15 degrees so the driver can see the deer in the road while turning a corner...I guess we cant teach the car to drive backwards if the deer is running at the car. Or make the car completely out of rubber. :whistles:
  5. These pics were from the Porsche forum. A Boxster going +120mph hits a chicken. A little more to one side and the driver is history... lucky SOB.
  6. Yes, that could have been much worse, and in a smaller car I think it would have been. Anyone see the front grill bars for the RX-330? I know they have them for the rear lights as well. I'm not crazy about the way they look, but it may be functional. Rob
  7. My wife said this was a really big female. She was only doing 45mph and this animal just charged full speed into the quarter panel.
  8. Becareful! Luckily she was not hurt, and our daughter was not in the car. Lexus Crunch :cries: The car can be fixed, so it's not the end of the world. But for those of you that live in rural areas, just becareful. Rob
  9. I have a 2004 Carrera 4S, no Ferrari needed :) However, there is a difference between performance driving an having an underpowered engine. If I'm driving in traffic and step on the gas to change lanes there is about a 2 sec. lag before the engine kicks in. This is not trying to take the SUV to 190mph or to beat some 0-60 times it's a matter of safety. I love the RX-330, and our old RX-300, but if I could change one thing it would be drop a new engine in there with about 280HP. ymmv, Rob
  10. Thanks for the suggestions. I've been using premium gas in the car since we bought it, and that does help a bit. Thanks for the other suggestions, I will certainly try them as well.
  11. This is the second RX my wife and I have owned. The newest one is a 2004 RX-330 that has about 35,000 miles on it (yeah we drive it). This car is seriously underpowered, as I'm sure most of you know. Are there any engine mods that have been done to increase the HP? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rob
  12. check out (from a previous post) http://www.vaistech.com/home.html not available yet...but looks intersting. ← OK, guess I'll have to wait until they develop that... looks very promising. Thanks.
  13. Hi all, I was under the impression that I can not hook up a satellite system to the stock radio in the RX-330... or am I not seeing the rca aux inputs :P Thanks! Rob
