  2. Ummmmm I'm not even sure how to set this one up Have a look for yourself... http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/03/20/woman....ref=mpstoryview
  3. Welcome to the club! :) What year is the ES?
  4. I really don't mind the side view of the new Max personally....including the tail lights. B) But I agree nc....I've noticed alot of generic styling in many different makes & models lately.
  5. Dictionary
  6. I'm patiently waiting for the diesel Maxima to be available here.....apparently in 2010 or 11. B) They do need to bring back the model with a manual tranny however (since 2007, it's only been available with a CVT).....after all it's the '4 Door Sports Car'. ;)
  7. I think it will be 'offically' introduced today at the New York Auto Show.....but here are some pics that have apparently leaked & I don't think it looks all that bad personally.... http://www.supernissans.net/forums/nissan-...-exclusive.html And here... http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans...xima_first_look
  8. My Dad's owned 2 Cadillac's in the past & they were really sweet rides. Personally I considered several different Luxury brands.....Infiniti, Cadillac, Audi & Benz (I've driven several BMW's in my time & could never figure what all the hype was about with them.....they didn't even appear on my radar when I was shopping)......a few professionaly mechanics have told me pretty much the same thing of all but the Infiniti.....unless the Caddy, Audi & Benz have a long time to go on the warranty.....you better stash some considerable cash away when (not IF) problems start to happen. Drove Infiniti's & for about 8 seconds I considered Acura as well.......as of today......I am on my second Lexus ES.....nuff said. :D
  9. Agreed.....only the fronts can be done.
  10. The products I use (that my detailer uses actually) last a little over a year actually (car is garage kept, washed frequently) & the water still beads quite nicely.....that includes winter driving with alot of road salt & sand used. ;)
  11. I was going to say.....I don't think you have enough TV's lol :P .....j/k 91_ls400.....welcome to LOC & nice to see another fellow Torontonian on here. ;)
  12. It's also important to mention (sometimes it does get forgotton) that the vehicle is under full factory warranty & any defects in materials & workmanship will be taken care of. Get your issues resolved & enjoy! ;)
  13. Seems a bit high considering many of the items are 'inspect' (AKA look at). Most of those you can easily do yourself. Inspect wiper blades, PS & washer fluid? And why do they only suggest to balance the front tires only & after do a tire rotation? Also, isn't the diif fluid just tranny fluid anyway? When you do a drain & fill on your tranny & not a seperate fluid? I could be wrong however because of the model year. When was the last time you had a complete tune up on the car? Tell them for that price, you will bring all the necessary parts to them to install. ;)
  14. many of the Lexus dealers in these parts are linked with a Toyota store.....with their own body shop on site. But I understand that's not the case everywhere. :)
  15. I too am a firm believer in that as well. :)
  16. Understood Steve & thanks. The products I mention are reasonably new to market apparently though. :)
  17. The new Michelin Primacy MXV4's have a 620 treadwear Steve lol....just thought I would mention that. ;)
  18. That's awesome Kil! Congrats :D Post pics of your new baby when you can.
  19. That kid's lucky to be alive! Thanks for the link smooth1.
  20. Just wanted to ask others that have used 3M Performance Finish, One Step Cleaner Wax & Rubbing compound what they think of it's performance? I am considering getting the 3 piece kit at a good price. Thanks. B)
  21. I've never known Lexus OE brakes to be of poor quality personally......I've always been pleased with their performance.
  22. Sounds like an excellent deal to me.......and whatever dealer you do decide to go with, they are in business to make money so they need to get a few bucks for your deal. Will you be taking this car to the dealer you purchase from for regular service & warranty work? ;) Good luck!
  23. A well maintained engine & tranny should outlast the body generally speaking. Based on what you have said.....you should enjoy at least another 145k miles. B) Enjoy.
  24. Can you post pics of the damage? I would have the dealership near the top of my list for body repairs personally.......but it does not hurt to get several estimates.
  25. Welcome to LOC Ryan B) dcfish is bang on with everything.....although I will say you also have the option to go with Amsoil synthetic ATF (which is compatible with Toyota Type IV fluid) for the tranny if you so choose. :) Enjoy!
