  1. I have never heard of a PS fluid change at that low mileage interval. I ususlly change my own fluid using a turkey baster personally. I think they are trying to scam you at the dealer personally. B)
  2. Not sure what ad's you are refering too.
  3. How many miles on the tranny? When was the last time you did a tranny flush? Your owners manual should tell you the capacity for a regular 'drain & fill' but you might also want to consider doing a 100% tranny fluid change with the car hooked up to a special tranny machine. B)
  4. Use those filters up yourself I would suggest. They will be fine. Go back to the M-1's later or consider going to a K & N or Amsoil oil filter (I use that now.....switched from M1 for about the same price). B)
  5. Welcome to the club Vivek! :D Sharp looking ride you have there! B) Look forward to seeing you on the forums. ;)
  6. The Triple Treads are not offered in Imran's size cha. It's unfortunate. :(
  7. I agree totally with cha.......these tires are currently the best available for out ES (97 - 01 factory size.....I can get them in H speed rated in my 205 60 16 size). Another one to consider is the Falken Ziex ZE-512 are fantastic as well & have an 60,000 mile tread life. http://www.goodyearassurance.com/ I currently have the Toyo Proxes TPT & have been very happy with them thus far.....not the greatest in some winter conditions, but just fantastic in wet weather & heavy rain especially. At the time I bought them, they were the best available, but there are better choices out there today which I have just mentioned. Good luck! B)
  8. Not to mention now that GM is offering it's products for 'Employee cost'! Even less profit now to move the vehicles on top of the 0% financing. :o It's a sad state GM is in bigtime! :(
  9. Exactly! B) It will feel like a totally new car then.
  10. I doubt many Canadians will Imran (there are only 1 Lexus & 1 Toyota review on tirerack to this point). You might want to get in touch with Tirerack directly to find some more details, including shipping up here & what to do if you need a replacement. B) Very good reviews thus far however. ;)
  11. They are fine for your ES! So yes he is BS'ing you. They are high performance all seasons in an H speed rating......take your car to another shop. ;)
  12. Exactly sw! B)
  13. Well the Goodyear Triple Treads have gone up in their ratings totals as the miles have gone up.....just one example but I hear what your saying. B)
  14. I'd consider using synthetic oil personally & yes change it every 5,000 miles. Did you get all service records for the car before you purchased? Best of Luck with your new ride. B)
  15. You should always put the best & newest tires on the rear of the car, not the front......always for best traction & safety & handling, not to mention have 4 tires the exact same as opposed to 2 different on front & back. I would have personally gone with 4 Goodyear Triple Treads in the H speed rating personally. http://www.goodyearassurance.com/ (for future reference) In your case now, since you have put the Yoko H4S on......(a decent choice to be sure), I would get 2 more of the same & get yourself a 4 wheel alignment.....you will be all set. The Bridgestome Potenza RE 92 are total garbace & the sooner you get them off the car the better. Your problems should be solved! Good Luck! B)
  16. More than fair point sw........the ratings can also go up as well. ;) You start to get a better sense of a tires overall performance & expectations when you get at least a million + miles reported from owners from the tire rack site. There are several other tire sites that have their own ratings 'systems' as well (mainly written reviews as opposed to a number system & some just a number system with a few comments added), but there are different tires carried by other sites (Toyo & Falken as an example) that tire rack do not carry & vice versa. In Imrams case specifically however, I'm afraid there are only 2 'decent' choices that should even be considered as it stands right now.......I'm sure more will be available in the future, but I'm not sure how soon the 'future' will be, depending on how soon Imran wants & needs replacements......my guess is definately before the winter hit's if not sooner. Other options of course include specific snow tires for winter, but that won't solve the wet weather problems he is having for the other 3 seasons of the year. :(
  17. Imran, I would go with the following choices in a good all season: - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes Although I don't know how readily available these are in Canada (you might have to talk with a rep at tirerack about that).....they have got very good reviews thus far & look pretty aggressive but still very good in bad weather with a pretty long treadlife. Excellent value for the money too! B) - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes A decent choice, but quite expensive all things considered (all Michelins are). It does not excel at any specific thing, but does most things an all season performance (touring) tire should fairly well. Falkens 512's are not available in the 215 55 17 size. :( Those are the 2 best available in your size as of today. Either one will be leaps & bounds over your current Bridgestone's. I also have a couple of tire places I deal with if your intrested that have some of the best prices in the city. Keep us posted & good luck! B) Don't forget to get a 4 wheel alignment. ;)
  18. Ouch They actually went from bad to terrible! lol
  19. I like the second ones personally. B)
  20. Have a look above metfan......you should find the info quite helpful. Stick with an all season tire & not summer only rubber. It's too bad the Goodyear Assurance Triple Treads are not offered in a speed rating for your ES......they would be a fantastic choice for your ES. http://www.goodyearassurance.com/ I suggest the Yokohama's or the Falkens I mentioned earlier in this thread. B)
  21. lol, thank god ;)
  22. Let me guess.....Bridgestone Potenza RE 92's right? ;) What size do you need Imran? Perhaps I can suggest some good replacements. B)
  23. Sharp looking ride kyle! B)
  24. What car are we talking about here & what tire size? B)
  25. I owned a 91 Olds 88 & 91 Riviera.....88 for 5 years, Riv, for 4, other than regular maintenance & 120k kms later I was a very happy owner of each. The Oshawa GM plants (#'s 1 & 2) have recently (again) been named the best assembly plants in North America for GM. I know that those plants will not be effected by the 25k + job cut's. They are practly the only plants that actually makes a profit for the General. ;) B)
