  1. I have a problem with my 92 Lexus ls400. I start the car and its just fine but after i hit the gas the rpmgs dont drop back down. Ive I reve it to 4k rpms, it will very slowly fall back down to 1k rpgs where its sapose to be idleing. It seems like the something is sticking after hitting the gas any ideas?
  2. Desided on keeping it going to do full brake job this weekend. As for and the solenoid screen.. Is it a fairly easy job? My fathers a fairly good mechanic. So luckly I dont have to pay for labor. And going to try and push it 600k if it will make it no idea what the world record is but would be intresting. I remember reading a post about a website that had a lot of DIY guides in fixing repair parts. Couldnt find it If anyone has the link. Also, thanks for the imput. I`ll keep an update on the mileage. I make a round trip about 250 miles away to pick up my son 3 times a month so they`ll add up quick. Chad
  3. Ive had my LS400 for over a year now. Has 395k on it. Im debating if its worth keeping and putting the money into it. Currently runs great. But has the dreadful PS leak. trac control is out and front break calibors need replacing. Also, the alarm is randomly going off. I know Lexus are ment to last forever. But at 400k im starting to double think about putting money into getting it fix. Just wondering how far it will last past 400k. Any insight would be great. Thanks
  4. Hey that worked perfected. Any idea the reason why? Still thinkin it was the anti-theft. but not sure works great after that little trick, thanks a ton.
  5. I bought a 92 ls 400 about 2 months ago. It drives like a dream, and runs great. Nothing has been going wrong untill today. I drove to work, never had any starting problems or anything. I went out on break listen to music with the car running, locked it up went back inside came out about 5-6 hours later. The battery was dead. Lights werent on. But the battery is completely drained, tried jumping it, and when i try to turn it over, nothing. No clicking, nada. Let it charge the battery off another car for a good 15 min. Finally got enough power for lights, radio, and everything electrical to work. But still the same thing, try to turn it over and nothing. Just confused because never had a problem start it once. Anyone have any ideas on this? My father is a machanic, and know quite a bit. But he doesn't do much work on forigen cars. I`m pretty sure the starter is under the intake manifold but not possative. He thinks it might be the anti-theft. Locking out becuase the battery was completely dead. Any insight would be great. Thanks The Tonic.
