  1. No... it's standard that the driver's side only unlocks when that handle is touched, and all four doors when the passenger handle is touched. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to change that. Just follow the steps 2007is350blueonyxpearl said. You can even have your Lexus Personalized Settings changed so that when you push the button on the fob one time, all 4 doors unlock. That that setting must be done by the dealer.
  2. I've never been in an LS430, other than at the car show, but I assume you'd be bumping down in level of luxury.
  3. Just because Toyota's a reliable car, doesn't mean that a 3 year old car with 60K miles is "next to nothing". That's a lot of miles. Should you be scared to buy a Toyota product with 60K miles on it? Probably not. I think the key question is "Is it a good buy?" If you think that the seller has sufficiently discounted the car to take into account the high miles, then go for it. If not, look for lower milage models.
  4. Someone on CL posted that they need to drain the gas tank to do the recall. So no--I guess they don't *need* to top it off, but they did for me.
  5. What are you talking about? The above thread is the page to login or register your Lexus so you can look at the owners manual, no matter what year your car is. The pinned threads contain the PDF's from the owners manual as well. . :D You're referring to a post, not a thread. Don't make Bartkat's hard work go to waste: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=25999
  6. Did you look at the pinned threads above?? I think that manual is for the '06, but nothing significant changed.
  7. That's what she's doing by asking LOC members what the paid...
  8. Don't assume they'll give it to you. If you walk in there with an approved loan, they won't have much choice. My insurance co, and many credit unions, and lenders on lendingtree.com, will approve your loan, send you the loan papers and, essentially a "blank check" for you to give to the dealer. If you never give that paper work to the dealer, you never initiate the loan. So--if the dealer has a better loan to offer, you just shred the docs from the other lender.
  9. Well--you shouldn't show up at the dealer without other financing ready to go. Coming in there and relying on their finance guy is just telling them you don't want the best deal.
  10. my IS is 2 years old now so I don't know the going prices, but try Lexus of Chester Springs. They were far below Wilke, Thompson, Wilmington, Bobby Rahal and Cherry Hill when I was shopping.
  11. I've lost wheel lock keys for 2 different cars. The dealer has the master set. Each time, I just had them put the standard lug nuts back on.
  12. Since the dealer couldn't replicate the prob, you should call them and relay this info to them.
  13. Courtesy cars must be provided, per corporate policy, for warrantied repairs taking 8 hours or more, or overnight. Anything short of that is up to the dealer. If discussing your matter with the general manager of the dealer does not get you a loaner and wash, then take your business elsewhere. I think it's pretty dumb to tell a customer you won't even wash the car b/c he bought it somewhere else, and risk losing the service relationship and potential customer referrals.
  14. Sorry--it's "Map View". Do it before you drive off. I've never learned the voice commands--it's just not worth the hassle. What you don't like saying "rest areas" and getting "thai food"? :P I thought the question was how to turn them off? [plus, you are assuming that the nav hears me correctly, which I have found is a big leap]
  15. I have a Pearl, but I'm sure all BlackBerries perform just the same.
  16. Manually from where--phone or car? I would think that would provide the answer. If you get a message "Bluetooth not Connected" a few seconds after start up, the car is searching for your phone automatically, but the phone won't let it pair. Once in a while, my BlackBerry doesn't pair, and I just need to hit the BT icon on my BlackBerry, it searches for BT devices, and then it pairs. I've never had to change the settings in the car.
  17. at 24,000 miles, how is this not covered under the 4yr/50,000 mi warranty? Clearly, it's not normal wear and tear! I mean, it's real easy for them to say that your driving habits caused it--but how can they prove that. You have a car with 24k miles with a bad clutch. Seems to me that unless they can PROVE you have driving habits that caused it, then they have to cover it. It's nuts that some tech can just say it's your driving habits, and that's the end of the road. What about repair records from your prior MT cars? Any chance you have those? VINs of those cars to order CARFAX reports to show that the clutch wasn't replaced? Anything that refutes their claim that your driving habits burn the clutch?
  18. Option the BMW up with all the features that the IS has standard, or that you want as options. The price isn't even close.
  19. maybe you will save $50 per year. Use what's recommended -- 91.
  20. have you checked tirerack.com? They can display the best sellers by model.
