  1. I think you want this in the buy/sell forum
  2. It will keep running until the gas runs out. And yes, the car can be driven away. Leaving your IS with the engine running is exactly the same as if you left the key in the ignition EXCEPT THAT once it's turned off, whoever is driving it won't be able to re-start it.
  3. Acutally, the simplest way is to look for the "Mark Levinson" name on the dash...
  4. Nice find. Plus--adoptive cruise is nothing new. It's been an option for years. Given that the pix show the car has nav, park assist, headlight washers, it may just be that the car is loaded up with many options, plus they modded the headlights.
  5. Power tilt/telescope, memory seats, rear sunshade, illuminated scuff plates are all part of the Luxury Package. ML system is a separate option, not part of a package. Paddle shifters are std. You don't have the sports pkg--that includes non-illuminated scuff plates and sport pedals. If you have a 2010, you would have BT if you had phone buttons on the steering wheel. Before 2010, you need navi to get BT.
  6. Correct. You can pair up to 6 phones, but it will not automatically switch between them. Each time you want to switch, you have to go into the settings and select a different saved phone.
  7. I think park assist is toggled on/off by the rocker switch that controls the orange speedo ring, tpms and afs.
  8. Only if it has sensors. I know that sounds like a smart a$$ answer, but Park Assist is NOT part of any package, and is only available as a stand-alone, factory option. See the round sensor in the corner of the front bumper of the attached pix.
  9. I don't think I have one of those buttons. Did you press it??? Might not be US spec. If you have an 07 IS300 then you obviously don't have the US version of the car. You also appear to have phone on hook/off hook buttons next to the headlight washers--also not US Spec (they are on the steering wheel in the US).
  10. That is a good idea or even take the 2nd door code all of the way out of your homelink system and try it for awhile and that would answer the question. And as LS said if you are not using buttons 1 and 3 I would give that a shot. It could be that simple when you hit button 1 it is causing your 2nd one to get pressed too. That would be like if your remote unlocked your car and the Lexus parked next to you. Definitely very odd. do you have an old garage door system that doesn't have rolling codes?
  11. I don't think this is a DIY. Park Assist is a factory only feature--even the dealer doesn't install it, unless it's a non-OEM aftermarket system.
  12. If you didn't receive the owner's manual, go to the owner's page on www.lexus.com, create an account, and register your VIN. Not only will it provide recommended maintenance intervals, it will show all dealer service entries to your car to date.
  13. The car has a good warranty regarding rust. I'd suggest going to the dealer and making a claim before you try to take care of it yourself.
  14. BIG +1 here. Not that I took my car out in 22" of snow (3 days after 18" of snow), but with an inch of packed snow on the roads this morning, after the plows were working all night, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus were WAY better than the Bridgestone RE92s were, even when there was only a minor snow fall. In true Costco form, the website doesn't show them stocking the Pilot Sport A/S Plus anymore. Anyone looking to buy @ Costco, if they have what you want, make a move before it's gone. They change out their inventory.
  15. My US version reminds me every 5000 miles that Oil Maintenance is due.
  16. Hey Rookie is this true? Sorry I'm a little late on this forum but my IS was sold to me with ML as well and my radio says nothing at all. I just took the dealers word. But I do have what appears to be a real speaker in the middle of my dash so is that ML? Thanks!! Mark Levinson systems say "Mark Levinson" on them. Look at pix of the interior of the car at lexus.com--you'll see it. You said you got it from the dealer--was it new? If so, what does the window sticker say? If it doesn't say "Mark Levinson" you don't have it. I bought the car from a Lexus dealer pre-owned. On the front of my stereo/nav it says nothing. Not even lexus premium audio like someone mentioned earlier. Where would the sticker you're referring to be located? I'd like to check that out. It really upsets me that my dealer might have lied to me. Can a dealership tell if they run the VIN? Thank you!!! Look at this pix from the lexus website, next to the word "Lexus" below the CD slot. That's the ML logo.

  18. Get the Road Hazard warranty on the replacement tires. Costco includes Road Hazard in their installation costs, if you buy tires there.
  19. Thank you Tex- so where do I get pedals? You can get them from the dealer--they are exepensive. They don't just slip over the gas pedal--you have to replace the assembly. Search around here or Clublexus.com, and you will find various options.
  20. This is what gives used car salesmen a bad name. If it doesn't say it, it doesn't have it.
  21. It's got the Lux Pkg and Mark Levinson. Seat memory, power adjustable seat, illuminated sill plates, rain sensing wipers, power sunshade and wood trim all come with the Lux Pkg. Sunroof is standard on all US models. ML either comes as a stand alone option or packaged with nav. Headlight washers are a standalone option, but in the northeast, tend to be on all models that have the Lux Pkg. Sport changes illuminated sills to aluminum (non-illumnated sills), adds aluminum sport pedals, and deletes the rear sunshade. The Lux and Sport Packages haven't changed very much over the years. Just check out the Lexus website.
  22. 2006 is NOT plug-n-play for illuminated scuff plates. Only '07 and newer.
  23. No memory seats means no Lux or Sport Pkg. Sunroof = standard, nav was a standalone option, and I think the wood was too. Sounds like there was no pkg. I'm with Bartkat--illuminated scuff plates, I think, for '06 is not "plug and play", and requires addl work.

  25. There's a TSB for it. But the dealer won't do the fix unless they can replicate it. I only get it about 1x every 6 months.
