  1. I have a 2002 LX470, which is having Nav problems. I know I can repair the unit and/or buy a replacement one for $1,000 or so, but can anyone tell me if I can buy a brand new Nav system with a new screen, etc. like in the newer models that has Bluetooth, and more?
  2. I also have a 2002 LX470 with the same "No Disk Detected" problem. Can you share with me where you sent the unit for repair, the cost, how long it took, and was it easy to remove and replace? Thanks!
  3. Don't know, but maybe you can borrow someone's disc to see if that could be the problem? I think my "gen" is different from yours... Thanks for your reply. If I need a new unit as mentioned, can you help? How much? Is it easy to install?
  4. Hello. I have a 2002 LX 470 and the GPS Nav says it can't read the disc. The disc appears fine. The unit info is: nav ecu part #86841-50010... I can get a replacement unit for about $1,200, but I'm wondering if it might be as simple as the laser lens inside the unit being dirty? Has anyone had any luck with a Laser Lens cleaner (disc you insert that is supposed to clean the laser lens inside)? Thanks.
  5. I have a 2002 LX 470 and the Nav system just went dark. It says :there is "No Disc Detected". There is a disc in the computer unit underneath the right front passenger seat. I took it to Lexus and they said it is either a bad disc ($300), or a bad unit ($1,000)... The only way to know if it's a bad disc is to buy a new one and find out. That's a $300 gamble however. Can I buy a new disc for a reasonable price and then determine if this is the problem? If it's not the disc and I need a replace nav computer unit, can I buy one somewhere other than Lexus dealer for a better price? Thanks much for any help!! Nav Help Needed
  6. I have a 2007 IS 250 with 30,000 miles. Current tires are Bridgestone Turanza 225 40-18's front, and 255 40-18's rear. I don't want to spend more than $150 per tire. I am a moderate drive, with 75% highway use. Any suggestions? Thanks.
