  1. I've been doing alot of studying and I think the Hydrogen cel is the way of the future. Theres no doubt. I think this is more of an experiment . I mean think of it, when your at home, you can plug your house into it and run everything off of it, and what your not using you could sell to the power companies. So instead of hauling around a bunch of batteries that need to be charged from an external source, your actually an electric company on wheels that runs on the most abundant element found in the universe! This I could buy. The Hybrid I think is just a waste of time, effort and money. I saw that GM has the Genesis platform. Have you seen that? It's basically the motors and the hydrogen cel all contained in a chassis. And they are working on several body styles that would all interchangebly fit on that same chassis. SO if you had a large enouph garage, you could have an SUV ody shell, a Sport body shell, and a sedan body shell. and be able to switch them as you need. That looked awsome!! I would like that to happen.
  2. space Uh oh, :) No I didn't....
  3. If you run your own carfax it will tell you when the vehicle was made, what dealership took delivery of the vehicle, and when the first title was issued for registration, and if it was registered by a private party or business. You will also be able to see what county the vehicle was registered to and how many times the car was bought and sold. As well as accident histories. But soemthimes the accident history may be incorrect or not reported. So I only ever use that for a flag. From that report, you can call the dealership that sold it, and have them run a service history for you. And if there is any concern, take the vehicle on a test drive again, and have a mechanic that you know look it over. Get his opinion. Then take it to Carmax and act like your gonna sell it to them and see what price they come back with. It will be a few grand less then your paying obviously, but it should atleast be in the ball park. I buy and sell cars quite a bit. there are tells I check for very closely. But for the inexperienced car buyer, the steps I listed above are atleast honest answers and should all be answered simularly. If Carmax comes back, sorry, we don't want this car, then neither do you. And if the mechanic points some things out, then you can one, use those to furhter negotiate the price, or two, walk away. Btw, some of the easy things you can look for are that everything matches. The wear on the seats matches the mileage on the car, all the tires are the same name, and tread wear is even. Missing odd caps and covers. It just gives you a better sense of the previous owners. Is there dried up soda and coffee in the holders? Look under the seat, do see any french fries? When you do the walk around look for paint on black rubber seals. The manufacturer paints the body panels before any thing goes on them so any paint that is on rubber is obviuosly a tell that the car has been repainted in some area. Which usually means the car was in an accident. So, look for new under parts such as shocks and control arms that are on one tire and not on the rest. That can tell you how bad the accident was.
  4. I've heard you can't buy this, only lease it for 2-3 years and the lease payment is $599.00 a month. After the lease you have to turn it in, there is no buy out.
  5. Mine is going to pay for resodding the front lawn, and the rest is going into the bank.
  6. The body kit is really nice. I like the Euro-freak look! I'm not a big fan of the doors though. Iv'e seen them on too many show cars now.
  7. Have you tried purging the fuel tank and going to a different gas station and fueling up there? I'm not talking about just going to E on the gas gauge and filling it, I'm talking about removing any water you may have built up in the tank. It's possible from your description that could be a cause that wouldn't be detectable by diagnostics. But it does sound like a fuel supply issue of some kind. If you pop the lower section of the rear seat out, you'll see a hatch on the driver side, open that up to gain access to the fuel tank and the fuel pump. Maybe take a look and make sure the hose isn't clogged, look for water in the tank, maybe even test the fuel pump.

  9. Welcome to the LOC! The stock CD player is about the worst, but other than that the car is great. It doesn't come from the factory with synthetic, but I run all my cars on it, and most of us here do also. As for the dents, I would try the paintless dent guy first, Just see what he has to say. They fixed up my wifes car and it was amazing what they can do. If they say there are some that they cant do anything about then I would consider a body shop. And by the way, we uuhh, need pictures.
  10. PAR-TAY!!!!
  11. Thanks Raymsixsix! V-Tard------> In tard
  12. According to my parts listing, 2000 model year uses Part Number: W0133-1610239 HID Bulb - 12V - 35w For HID headlights; 12v, 35w; req. 2. Hi-Intensity Discharge. The 1999 uses Part Number: W0133-1637084Bulb #2 - 12V - 65w 12V 65W. which is not HID.
  13. actually it would. If it's reading to lean, it will tell the ECU to make the mix richer to compensate. Once that compensation is out of the peramters set, it will throw the cel. And you may want to check the injector seals to make sure.
  14. You may be having a ballast issue. It's mounted in the headlight underneath. I would take the headlights out and switch the ballasts from left to right and see if the flickering switches also. If it does, then that's the problem, and you'll just need to order a new ballast. You can get them on Ebay for about 50-75 bucks. New from the dealer is alot more.
  15. LOL!! Thanks for the congrats. And my helmet was just loose before, so now it fits good! ;) I LOVE Formula racing. I think it's awsome how the driver and machine have to be matched so perfectly, that ever engineering obstacle is about building confidence and speed. I like all racing. I love the competition, and the combination of man and machine, pushing the limits, and even beyond. It has allways been one of my passions. I really like walking down the paddocks early in the morning, and talking amongst friends and even rivals. Standing at the bottom of the track, trying to figure out where your advantage is, and how you can use it to win. Working out all the strategies, and then starting the motor. It's something I have looked forwqard to everytime I do it.
  16. The Iranian collections department! LOL!!!! " The collections manager, also known as AK-47, wants everyone here to know the L.A.W.S. of collecting! " LOL!!!!!
  17. that's a great sign! I think I'm gonna go to Iran and take out a loan, come back here to pay for all my gas and then just not pay it back.
  18. Sure that would be great! But to address your topic, I wouldn't wanna race a F1. there's no way! My bike is fast, and while I think I might be able to hang with em in a few corners, the hp to weight ratio would kill me!!! Especially in the straightaways!! Man those guys hit 215 in no time! That's 35-45 mph faster than my bike can even go! It's intersting to see the lap times they display for all the classes that run at some of these tracks. I know the course layout is different for certian races like motorcyles usually get the in field track with a portion of the main track, and in some clases it's more main track and a different version of the infield track, so it's hard to do an a/b comparison, but when I was at Daytona, they showed a Cart series time of 36.875! The NAscar record is 42.783!! MAn that's fast! Every 8-10 laps he would be passing the Nascar!
  19. My screen saver is a pic of my car, everyone at the office gives me a hard time about it, but I think it looks great!
