  1. I did get one but both sides of the plastic housing are broken so I'll still have to have the new one cut at the dealer. But it's still cheaper. Thanks!
  2. Yeah, I guess so. First time they stayed in place. Next time they disappeared.
  3. I am not sure because I am the original owner of mine. Lexus sent me an addendum warranty page for my owners manual which stated the extended warranty on the radiator. Therefore I would assume it extends to any owner within 7 years/90k from date of initial delivery.
  4. I got a fluid extractor from motive.com and use it to suction out the P/S fluid reservoir. Then refill with dexIII which is $2 a qt. Do this 3-5 times and your fluid will be fine. No need to take anything apart since the P/S system will mix the new fluid in with the old. I also drain the transmission with the same method through the dipstick tube and refill with T-IV trans fluid available at any Toyota dealer for $5-6 qt. Get a fluid extractor and save yourself some big $$.
  5. The 2004 RX330 warranty was extended to 7 years 90,000 miles. Mine went bad and was replaced under warranty at 89,500...whew!
  6. You should be covered by that lawsuit. DO the research and don't back down at the dealer. There are hundreds of them out there with that issue. The PCV system is too small for the engine.
  7. Those nuts will usually pop out and disappear.......don't ask how I know this as well...
  8. Find an independent Toyota mechanic. Mine charged me $450 for timing belt, waterpump, serpentine belt and new coolant. 40,000 mile since that service and it runs perfect.
  9. Don't do the Michelins as they only last 30k . The Bridgestone Dueler Alenzas went 70,000 miles on mine but were noisy for the last 20k. I just put on a set of Kumho tires from Tire Rack for under $600. They seem to ride very quiet and handle well.
  10. If you're nearby Redmond I have a complete set of Lexus shop/repair manuals you can borrow. I have been using 87 octane Shell regular in my wifes RX330 for the past 130,000 miles. Still have the factory spark plugs in there and just had the throttle body cleaned at 130k for the first time. I do clean the fuel system with techron every 30,000 miles. But no issues ever. Driving style is 50-50 city/highway.
  11. I was at the dealer today and have 1 key that has a broken plastic housing. They quoted $60 for the housing and $350 for a new complete programmed key assembly. :o
  12. Can you post the procedure from the manual?
  13. No..but I wish I did because they want $44 to do it at the dealer. The bulb costs $1.80
  14. I have 45,000 miles on the Bridgestones and still have about 10,000 miles of tread left.
  15. Your Rx330 uses Toyota T-IV transmission fluid available at any Toyota dealer. I use a fluid extractor to pump the fluid out of the dipstick tube and refill with the same amount. Be certain to check the fluid level when hot. You can also use T4 in the powersteering reservoir. The front and read differentials take 80w90 GL-5 gear oil available at any auto parts store. BTW, there is no serviceable filter in the RX330 trans so you don't need a pan drop ever. I get 5-6 quarts out with the extractor so a partial change costs about $35 for the cosr of the fluid. I do this every 20,000 miles and now at 125,000 the trans still shifts like new. Very easy to do and nothing to unbolt or disconnect. Just pump out and refill. Note: Don't use anything but the T-4 fluid or you are asking for issues.
  16. I have changed mine twice and the nuts didn't pop out at all.
  17. Does anybody have a service manual for this vehicl that they would like to share the cost of?
  18. Has anyone changed the transfer case oil on their RX330? I have done the trans with a fluid extractor several times and the rear diff but can't find the transfer case drain & fill plugs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Whan you replace the shocks.....replace the mounts & springs as well. But mine are just getting "clunky" after 111,000 miles. But, only kiddies ride in the back and both weigh less tha 100 lbs each. I just got an estimate for shocks, struts, springs, links & mounts on all 4 wheels for $950 installed.
  20. Go to www.tirerack.com and check out the Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenzas. Way better on my RX330 than the Michelins.
  21. My Harley Davidson end cap oil filter wrench (with the cam sensor cut out) fits perfectly over the end Lexus/Toyota oil filter. It is metal and takes a 3/8 ratchet. Take your oil filter to a Harley dealer and they should have on for $10-12. I have a shorty ratchet that fits up there nicely. Never a leak. But the rubber gasket on the toyota filters is so thin you have to crank the filter back on to prevent any leaks. Good luck.
  22. FWIW, I have 111,000 miles on the 04 RX330 and it had a steady diet of Valvoline 5w30 dino up to 100k now it gets Valvoline Maxlife 5w30 synthetic blend. No leaks, runs great still on the factory tune up. 5000 mile OCI with a toyota filter.
  23. I have 104,000 miles on the original front rotors and 3rd set of stock pads. Rear rotors rusted away from all the salt here in Ohio during Winter. Will replace the front rotors at 120k. Average brake pad life is 40k.
  24. Yep.......definitely my wifes car........I have never seen a guy driving one...
