  1. Yes. This should be in the archives using the search function. Here is the gist of it. 1. put key in ignition 2. hold odometer reset button down 3. turn key to run (NOT to start) 4. hold for X seconds (don't remember exactly - 5 seconds?) 5. wait for light to reset 6. turn key off A couple of things to add: 1. Make sure that you are looking at the odometer reading (total miles traveled) and not the Trip A or Trip B readings when you hold the ODO re-set button down. 2. As you hold the ODO button down, you should eventually see three dashed lines appear (in place of the odometer reading). 3. Keep the ODO button down until all three lines have disappeared. Once they disappear, the service maintenance indicator light should extinguish and the odometer reading will return.
  2. Well, I just got back from the dealership. After having my car for an entire week, they were no closer to solving my NAV problem. I'm convinced that they tried everything that they could. I've got a half-page of things they tested to see if they could detect the problem. The nice thing is that the problem will be covered under warranty if it occurs again. They said if it happens again, just drive the car straight in and they'll have a technician come right out to take a look at it. In the meantime, if anyone else has had this same problem and has actually solved it, I would really be interested in the explanation so that I could pass it on to the dealership. Thanks.
  3. Finally got my car to the dealership to take care of that light bulb and some other things. The car will be ready tomorrow or Friday. I'm going to quiz the service technician on the process to change out the bulb. When I dropped the car off, he didn't know exactly how it was done. Thought it was a simple matter of removing that large grey fabric covered piece in the liftgate. Said it was held by a number of metal clips, but he wasn't certain. Stay tuned. The bottom cover on the tail/liftgate is held down with plastic ball and socket clips. Just got back from the dealership and talked to the customer service rep re: replacing the taillight. He talked to the service tecnician about replacing the light. Here's what he told me: You first have to remove the felt covered piece on the interior of the tailgate. If you look closely, there's a felt covered tab in the center. You pop that off first. After that, you have to slowly work your way around the felt covered piece and carefully take it out. Apparently, there are a number of clips around the perimeter that hold it in place. Once the entire felt piece is removed, you have to remove the large plastic piece above it to get to the light bulb. I guess I was pretty lucky because I have a good relationship with the service rep. He didn't charge me for replacing the bulb. Of course, I also spent a bundle on new front/rear brakes and the 60,000 maintnenance, so they made their margin on their other services. Hope that helps. wwest: I noticed in a previous reply that you said you had manuals. Is it possible to post a pic for illustration purposes so that others could view "the plastic ball and socket clips?"
  4. Has anyone else experienced distorted screens on your NAV system? (See attached photos). The problem seems to appear only when the "Destination" and the "Menu" buttons are pushed.) I took my RX330 to the dealership and they replaced the entire NAV system about six months ago, but the problem has returned. They've been testing the system for the last four days, but everything checks out as "perfect." They've checked with their technical gurus in the company and they told me that no one has ever experienced anything like this. Hard to believe that I've got the only unit that's ever had this problem. Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced distorted screens. If so, what was the solution? Thanks in advance for any comments. :(

  6. Does anyone know how to replace the tail lights on a 2004 RX330? I saw the threads re: replacing tail lights on the RX300, but they don't apply to the RX330 because of the different body styles. I know that they should be easy to replace. It's all in knowing how to access them. Thanks.
