  1. There are two possibilities: - Serial - Parallel If you hook up your speakers in serial, you add their impedances. example: 2 + 2 = 4 ohms example: 4 + 4 = 8 ohms If you hook up your speakers in parallel, you add their inverses. example: 1/(1/2 + 1/2) = 1 ohm example: 1/(1/4 + 1/4) = 2 ohms Since you have two identical speakers (and not more), this can be simplified as follows: Serial => multiply impedance by 2 Parallel => divide impedance by 2 How to hook them up: Serial: Amp + to Speaker A + Speaker A - to speaker B + Speaker B - to Amp - Parallel: Amp + to Speaker A + and Speaker B + Amp - to Speaker A - and Speaker B -

  9. Hi, May I repeat that I just turn the key to the starting position ie. as if you only want to see the various indicators on the dashboard but NOT turning the engine over. Whenever the key is at this position but not yet turning the engine , I hear the clicks.
  10. Hi, Been following this thread. Could anybody tell me about this issue that I have: When I turn the ignition key to the start engine position, there is a 'click...click...click..click' in the engine bay (I think near the TPS or the Trac Position cover) for a few seconds (2-4 secs). What may cause the clicking??? Could it be the starter showing its problem? Thanks VH 91 LS (170K miles)

  13. Hi, Thanks for your reply. Every little bit helps. I will check with Lexus Service dept. Have a wonderful Xmas / New Year everybody VH Oh geez, it was about 4yrs ago. If i remember correct the part was "only" 90-120$ I had the luxury of having a cetified toyota guy who worked off the clock back then. What i do remember was it was removed and replaced from under the car, not to mention he did this in his driveway! Unfortunatly he has since moved so i can't reference him on the details. I would call lexus service and ask about the part and its location. I'm sorry it's so blurry, but i hope it helps:)
  14. Hi, Can you provide more details about the idle speed sensor ? eg. price, where to get it, what does it look like, where is it on the car, easy to replace? Thanks VH 91 LS400
  15. Hi, My son's 91LS400 CD led is not working ie. at night, you can see other butttons (FM,Tape...) lighted but not the CD. Does each button have its own LED or something else? Thanks VH
  16. You can find it in the LEXUS Repair Manuals which come in 2 volumes, costing about $150-200.
  17. Hi, If after all you have tried without dismantling the door panel, then this may relate to a loose nut (or it fell off) behind the door panel. There was a thread about this long time ago. There is a web site (to do with stereo install) that shows how to dismantle the panel. I have the manual, removed the panel and found 2 nuts that fell off and caused the squeaks. Good luck VH 03 BMW X5 4.4 (10K) 99 ML320 (65K) 91 LS400 (167K) 92 Prelude 4WSi (65K) 91 Galant LS (165K)

  23. Hi, My son's 91 LS400 above meters stopped working last night. I hit the panel and the dashboard hard to no avail. Any ideas? Oh by the way: the "O/D off" warning also flashed permanently now. Car otherwise is going ok. Thanks a bunch VH
