  1. :o You mean you haven't already?! C'mon what did you leave out? (You've come this far, don't hold back now- you've already converted a few of us!) ;)
  2. I didn't know Lexus offered watches. For the $100 that you paid they should have included the instructions and hopefully you got an authentic item You can always take it to a jewelry store/watch repair shop + maybe they can help you Good luck!
  3. acf: Welcome :) No more "whatever" wash and "whatever" wax for you, okay?! You have a LEXUS now!! :P Of course I have to agree with SW03ES - check out the detailing forum. I've already been converted - no more car washes for me, only going to do it myself from now on. In fact as soon as this hot Southern California sun sets, I'll be outside with my lamb's wool mitt, hose and buckets!! :) *No one* will wash your car and care for it as well as the owner will, IMO. I don't think chips can get bigger unless they're glass chips that get a lot of sun exposure. To prevent future dings, park AWAY from everyone whenever you go somewhere. Just walk the extra distance when at all possible (you said you have a newborn). Good luck!
  4. I agree. However I'll probably have these panels on mine painted to match the rest of the exterior in 6-12 months.
  5. LOL - SpeedRacer, I stand corrected! ;) (Shame on me) :whistles:
  6. Well my car interior is black - I don't think it can get much darker ;) What Woolite solution?
  7. Thank you for "clearing" that up - ha ha I would have blindly bought this. Glad I asked here before I did. :)
  8. Yep. Me too. In my hectic life, my car is my sanctuary. :) I don't want to race you. I don't want a wing thing on the back of my trunk. I don't want my music blasting. (Ok well sometimes, and if it is, it's most likely Jazz). I'm not even interested in installing the system (amp + speaker box) in this car that I had in my 92 ES. I'm more than happy with the stock system. Additionally, I request that all passengers in my car speak as little as possible. J/K And if you tailgate me because you think I'm going to slow, guess what: I am. I'm trying to relax. LOL Keep tailgating and I'm going to slow down even more. <_< But I digress... This is why I have the car that I have. My life isn't smooth. My car, however, IS. Very. Both literally and figuratively ;)
  9. Well of course you're going to say this! ;) I love my 98 ES. I loved my 92 ES. My next Lexus will be a GS. I've already promised myself that. That car is simply orgasmic to me ;) As for the re-designed ES, personally I think it sits too high on it's frame. The new design just doesn't appeal to me. I will not deny that it's a beautiful vehicle - altho I have yet to drive one or sit inside one, I can only imagine that it's luscious. But I still prefer the older styles (And yes, of course I'm going to say that!) Bottom line (to me) is that all Lexus vehicles are beautiful, luxurious and classy. Period. Compare the 92-01 Lexus to the boring Camry for a month of Sundays - it's still not a Camry ;) Olezip: I'll take an older Lexus any day as well. Except any of the SUVs. Not a fan of those at all (as much as I love Lexus). Just my .02
  10. Verrry nice! Although I'm not a fan of tan "peanut butter" interior it ;) (Had that in my 92 ES) yours looks extremely clean and very nice in contrast to the green exterior. Congrats! :magic:
  11. I used the cocoa butter just a little bit today (as recommended here) but the smell is just a bit too much for me. So, I bought some saddle soap today and am curioius to know if anyone here has used this with good/bad/otherwise results on their leather interior... ??
  12. Looking for feedback - anyone used this for their chrome wheels?
  13. I bought a lamb's wool wash mitt tonight. :D And two buckets: "One for rinsing and one for soaping" Hmm...who said that? LOL Just couldn't figure out which actual car wash soap to get...(before I order online next month)....Meguiar's? Guess I should do a search
  14. Hey I think I found one online - send me a PM for details :)
  15. SW03ES: I found your post to be pricelessly informative. You're obsessive. I totally dig that. :) You've hit the nail on the head on some very good points IMO, and as I read through them I thought, "That makes total sense". I'm throwing all my car wash coupons away. Time for a new beginning ;)
  16. Me too - I actually found a Leather Scented air freshener online - gonna have to check that out. Also, dryer sheets like Snuggle or Bounce underneath the seats smell fresh and clean :)
  17. Previously I hated that I didn't have Lexus floor mats, but I recently got a great deal on a set - just waiting for them to be delivered I still hate that I don't have a CD changer, but that's on it's way too (finally - I've been going nutz listening to the radio and tapes from the 90's LOL) I hate that there are minor exterior scratches here and there that I don't know how to get rid of I hate that a week after I got this ES I let a friend drive it and he f'd up the bottom of my front grill - jerk! <_< I hate that my windows aren't tinted (maybe in a few months) I hate that the moon/sunroof is so damn slow to open + close I hate that I didn't hold out for the Coach Edition I hate that I don't have heated seats I hate that I don't have HID lights (soon) Also wish I had a little less mileage I hate that I don't have a Navigation System :( Sometimes I hate that my ES is not a GS... But that's ok...in time...in time... :magic: :) Despite all of the above I DO LOVE MY CAR with all the things it *does* have :D - it's still the best car I've ever had
  18. Mine is only a year newer but, I agree with Chill...I like the emergency brake where it is: hidden and out of the way :) The shifter isn't important to me I do wish there was better visibility thru the rear window... <_<
  19. What type of air freshener do you use? Which are among the best/longest lasting? :) Little Trees are cool ~ looking for other options...
  20. They're made by "Emgee/CleanTools" (The people who make The Absorber - whatever that is) They come in a pouch of 5: "Microfiber cleaning wipes with wax, great for clearcoat paint finishes, waterless, adds gloss, special lubricants remove light dust without scratching". Haven't tried them yet :whistles:
