  1. Have you owned this car for awhile...or is it a pretty new purchase. I don't think that it is a fuse. I also am just guessing but I do not think that they have anything to do with one another unless you car has been involved in a accident at some time. Only a guess.... Good luck
  2. RF- Does your vehicle require premium gas though??? If so maybe that is why... All 400 and 430's require premium. ;) That is what I thought. Why would you put anything else in it?
  3. RF- Does your vehicle require premium gas though??? If so maybe that is why...
  4. LOL!!!!!!!! You need some more chrome on it!!!
  5. I'm with you like 5k to 6k less, would buy private party. It all depends on the deal you get on it and the previous maintenance of the car. I like the fact that by buying the CPO I don't have to worry about anything up until 100k miles. True you can buy the extended warranty elsewhere...choice is yours.... I am happy with the one that I have made so far...best of luck :D I also us 87 in mine...the RX does not require premium! B) :D
  6. I really don't think that you will notice any immediate difference in your gas mileage regardless what you use. After years of driving you may get better mileage using premium, but I have never noticed any difference no matter what I have put in. This is assuming that your car does not call for premium.
  7. I will have to make sure that I don't drive the 400h so I don't hate my RX... :( I also do not like the FX35...and have loved my RX330 so far, I don't really care about the horsepower not driving a race car, sure I would love for a even smoother ride...but have not driven the 400h so I don't know what I am missing! As far as the MPG I am happy with what I am getting 21 - 24 MPG since I have had it. Most of my drive is highway so no real big deal with the 400h on that. The only thing that I would of loved to have is the tax credit...
  8. Glad you are OK! Car will be able to be repaired...still sucks!
  9. I would say 1/3 of my driving is city and the other 2/3's is hwy. :D
  10. Rx330driver is right you do not have to reset the trips for the MPG to work. I also have nav unit and I just checked it doing the calculation by hand and my MPG came out almost exactly the same. How often are you filling up RX ???????? Not sure about you but I tend to wait until I hit 1/4 of a tank and have usually got about 300 miles on mine by then. How many miles do you have on yours??? Your emergency brake is not on is it? JUST KIDDING Something has got to be wrong...? I think that I would take it somewhere and have it checked out there is no way you should be avg 17 mpg. I have the same RX330 as you, and as I said I am avg between 21-24. Have you changed the size of your wheels or tires?????????
  11. I am thinking about getting another "scoter/moped" too!!! LOL
  12. Have had 3 family members cars (GM'S) that have had service work done out of warranty, and the dealer picked up tab. New engine grandmom's car, mom had 2 different olds that both had work done that was not charged even after the warranty. I have had a Jeep that was out of warranty and dealer paid to have the transmission replaced. Still the fact is that they did not have to do anything for you but they did. Of course no company is going to offer to fix the car out of warranty for free. But if they are pretty sure it would cause them to lose your business in the future they may come to a compromise as they have done. It is a business and they would be out of it if they fixed everything that went wrong on cars that were not under warranty, as SW03ES said. But glad to hear that you got it taken care of and it worked out only costing 250 vs 900. :D
  13. Keep in mind that the 2006 $2,200 tax credit is subject to AMT which the 2005 $2,000 deduction was not. Under AMT the $2,200 Tax Credit could be wiped out. I must be missing something... What does AMT mean...??? Alternative Minimum Tax
  14. :D :D :D :D Funny you even sound like him! ;)
  15. :D :D :D :D CONGRATS!
  16. Be real careful changing disk. I have heard if you put the wrong one in it will not work at all...even if you put the old one back. Good luck!
  17. I do a combo of city and hwy. I avg around 21-23 mpg. I also have 2004 AWD. I do not baby my RX at all... I would check the figures by hand as well. The gas cap idea is a good one. I think that I am going to check that on my JEEP... How many miles on your RX? Are you pulling a boat? Good luck...let us know what it was!
  18. I don't think that it will. This should help. http://www.lexus-parts.com/Nav_Generation%20Chart_lk.pdf
  19. If someone hits me, I file a claim and it does not effect my rate at all. Their rate goes up, not mine. If you file it on their policy, that is true. If you file that claim on your own policy and your insurance company can not collect the money from the other insured's company (word vs word) then you may now have a not at fault accident on you and you can lose some of the current discounts that you have. Which will cause your rate to go up. It is not to your advantage to file any claim agianst your own policy if it can be helped...
  20. not true. He was stopped at a light and the lady bumped into him. Talk to the insurance company. He was not even in motion, they will/should waive the deductible his rates will not go up. been through this scenario. steviej Different states have different laws regarding this! In MD if the same thing happened and you file that claim on your own policy...it is considered a not at fault accident. State law says that a insurance company can not surcharge you for a not at fault accident. But you can lose discounts (claim free discount) different companies work diffent ways too. There are quite a few insurance companies that if you are getting a quote from that actually charge more for a not at fault accident than a at fault accident. It doesn't seem right? I can say this much for sure. I write insurance in MD, DE, and VA...and on my own policy there is no way that I would file a claim other than a comp claim for under $1,000.

    My Shop

My grandfather used to give my grandmother a week warning to clean her stuff up. After the week was up he took his front end loader (tractor) and loaded it with all of her junk...as he called it. Then he would take it to the woods and dig a big hole and well you get the point. Is that what you are talking about RX. Not me...when my wife gets to much sh** I guess I will just by a bigger house. As far as my space!!! HA I have the 2 car garage, when she is not parked in it, when she is I have a (1 Car garage!) TV and Fridge in the garage the fridge inside is for her stuff...my beer has tasted better in the fridge in the garage anyway...and up stairs I have my home gym (treadclimber and Elliptical) which we use at differnt times (so that is shared space)... and I also have my home office in another room she doesn't like to go in the office...that is where the bills go :D !
  22. I think I saw a fingerprint on the driverside door. You better wash it. Just kidding!!! Great looking car... :D
  23. I will have to give that a shot!!! That's good stuff! :D :D :D :D
  24. No coinholder in my RX. :chairshot:
