  1. LEXUS CPO ,Is this a better idea than buying from private owner? What exactly are the benefits ,and would you purchase a new lexus or save $10,000.00 and get a 3 year old cpo lexus? Just something i'm contiplating at this time ,and could use some other oppinions from lexus fans. I am looking at an ES330 if that helps?
  2. I was wondering what are the differences between the ES300 and the ES330 and what year they changed? exterior and interior? thans
  3. Does anyone know if lexus has ever offered a discounted percentage rate any time of the year? Like toyota does 1.9% or 2.9% I was wondering if lexus ever does this?
  4. Blanket statements like that are usually wrong. While leasing doesn't make sense in lots of cases, there are cases where it makes sense. For example, my wife got a new Volvo V70 wagon on a 3 year lease for $292 per month. My brother bought a new Volvo V60 sedan at about the same time - on a 5 or 6 year loan. OK! I am looking into a new es330 and was wondering if I may ask what kind of deals you received on tour cars? How much off sticker would be great or tell me your 330 was $37,000.00 and what you got it for . I would really like to know what to expect as I have been out of the new car scene for quite awhile... thanks. Let's say my brother pays off his car and keeps it for 9 years, then it has a fairly modest resale value. My wife will get a new car every 3 years. Even after allowing for the resale value my brother's car will have, my wife will not have spent much more over the 9 year period than him -and she'll get 3 new cars rather than one. There are other situations where they make sense, as well. Granted, leases make the most sense with cars that have very high resale value, but there are clearly cases where they do make sense. ←
  5. Is the ISbody style different in the all wheel drive as to the rear wheel drive? And is it alot smaller than the ES330?
  6. Blow dryer works great ,and if your getting a new emblem just cleas the area very good and stick that baby on.
  7. Dont wait, if that belt goes, since yoru engine has VVT-i, your engine will be toast. Mrs. Valve will kiss Mr. Piston...bad...very bad. possible bent valves, I have even seen a cracked crankshaft on a mustang mecause a chain broke. you have an interference engine, s i woudl do it on schedule. I have a non interference on my ford, so i will run her till she breaks. ← at what point did they change over so if the tb goes it wouldnt ruin the engine? personaly I drive an es 300.
  8. looking back at first question I see he asking about snow tires. He also sates its his first winter I think thats the real issue here. Driving in snow is an art why do you think they close down towns when the chance of snow is there?People cant drive in snow unless they do it all the time. So please get yourself some snow tires and take it very very slow.
  9. I wonder how long that other persons glue will hold up. not really a fix!
  10. Hope its not the blend door ,I am having mine fixed in my cherokee today. A five our job at 90.00 an hour sucks and thats just labor.I have split system and just passengers side blows cold air.
  11. Not sure about your colour, but believe it or not pearl white is one of the hardest colours to match, but I understand you being nervous because of the dark colour. I'm sure it will look awesome. B) ← I dont know swo3es it's a brand new year coming up and now you will have a perfect bumper? I think your just askin for trouble... lol I would keep it quiet myself. jk , good luck with your clean bumper I wish mine was chip free.
  12. punch up tirerack.com search their site its all explained in there. more than you want to know!I beleive its all in here also try doing a search.
  13. I was just talking with my mechanic last week and he told me lexus dealers were going to $115.00 guess he was right. What about other dealers like jeep or gm I heard they are $90.00 to $95.00.Its one thing to pay that price but to trust your car with many is scary. Im sure glad I have an honest mechanic and a good one. My mechanic was looking my 2001 grand cherokee over cuz passengers side only blows cold air. He came up with blend door problem I know it had to take time to figure this out but he didnt charge anything because he didnt fix it. He has done this before also I think that is being pretty honest myself.
  14. I agree go with a winter tire . My opinion tirerack.com has best prices, the bizzak ws 50 is a good tire but I would look at the dunlop winter sport m3 only because its scores are great.
  15. Quite large difference in prices ,whats up with that?
  16. What do you meen "not the first time"? Whats the problem?
  17. I know you guys know your stuff so is it 30 days no wax after a paint job? I have heard up to 3 months no wax and I hear ya about winter who wants salt slush and ice on a non waxed car?
  18. Its usually not an issue in the summer but in the winter I take my wheel spray to the touchless car wash and spray my wheels just before its my turn and they come out clean as can be.
  19. I'm glad I got the rims. The door handles and rims match up really nicely against the darker color of the car. I almost didn't get them but, the dealer finally agreed to sell them for half of what they originally quoted me for them. All in all, I very happy with the car so far. I am also pleased with some of the looks I get from people when they see it but, I am a little frustrated at having to worry so much about where I park it so it doesn't get dinged. I guess that comes with the territory. ← Yes it does and if you have the cold bitter winters like we do in wisconsin its a long cold walk sometimes. I really like the looks of your car but personaly I feel the wheels set off any car. And yours is no exception the wheels the color very nice. Keep parking it away from other cars.....lol
  20. live in wisconsin also , winters suck!!! lol
  21. Don't know what you are looking for but I just purchased a 96 es 300 and have searched alot of info so if I can be of any help just let me know. PS,I am no mechanic though...
  22. Nothing wrong with directional tires. Either dierctional or non directional should wear evenly as long as they are rotated on time, correct air pressure maintained, properly balanced & aligned. My Toyo's are evenly warned & directional. ;) ← Good to know, thanks
  23. looks like we are all ears :whistles:
  24. Which Toyo's? And yes, Michelin's are notorious for being one of the most expensive brands you can buy. ;) ← proxes tpt's lexus $125.00 on performanceplus.com since tirerack dont carry toyo or they would have best internet price . ← The Proxes are 'dated' now considering what else is on the market & to be honest, $125.00 seems quite high in that size. ;) ← Yea they are up there a bit ,and I am not to sure on the directional tires myself. Seems like a tire that you can criss cross would wear better than a directional. I am by far a tire expert more of a tire wana know it all. just my thoughts.
  25. why only a month or two? that seems a pretty short time for a top of line wax. I like zymol cuz I like to use my hands to put it on you can feel everything. Zaino is also very good it just seems to go on and off so easy I wonder if its really working.lol But as stated once you clean the paint pours your wax should come off with no problem, and I enjoy waxing so I do so every couple months at least.
