  1. what if you keep good coat of wax on wheels then use the acid wheel cleaner ? I have used the cleaner many times on brake dust and you spray it on and hoose it off and all you have to do is dry it off. Shines like new water repels off cuz they are waxed and save a ton of work. what do you think?
  2. nice- but the pics are so small. ← I agree need bigger pics, thats my car so i wanna see bigger pics..lol
  3. Yep. Paypal's buyer protection is pretty much worthless. The buyer can say anything they want in an ad and even if the product shipped is nothing like the ad says, Paypal won't refund the money. As long as the seller ships something that's even remotely like what they advertised, it's OK with Paypal. I still use eBay a lot, but with 2 rules: 1. I check feedback. Unless the feedback is >50 or 100 and AT LEAST 97% (preferably higher), I go elsewhere. There are few items so rare that you can't find a seller with 99% feedback. 2. I am currently over 1500 transactions on eBay and have had probably 5 that I got ripped off. Considering that I typically save about 30% average by buying on eBay, the 0.3% rip off rate is something I can live with. ← I guess the best thing to cover your own a@@ is if your item does not work or in sk position the key was bent so you pretty much know you are being scammed just say you never got it. two can play the scam job right? then paypal will refund your money back?
  4. U are right, the pace is a lot slower here in Wisconsin & no mountains either. No i have never read about someone wanting to get more Power out of their RX but I'm sure they do, but on a road course?? I will tell u our Lexus sure went though the 3+ inches of snow we had yesterday. ← YA HEY DER,, slow aint a bad thing lol
  5. Always best to work a deal on rims before the deal is complete if you prefer the chrome. Worst thing that can usually happen is they sell them to you for cost. I always have them through in another set of floor mats to keep one nice for summer.
  6. on what? ← I was just joking....lol i followed you
  7. I would go wherever you want and your neighbor should be paying the bill.
  8. I think that's the main problem - people over oil them. You're supposed to wait like 10-15 minutes for the oil to soak in. The appeal to me is that I can re-use the filter. I have K&N pod filters on my motorcycle so I already have the "recharge" kit. I can find a K&N for my '99 LS for about $50 online... where an OEM one is like $25 right? ← I can get a denso oem for $16.27 and k&n for $45.00 free shipping/.
  9. just remember you are in the drivers seat. they want to sell the car you would be suprised what you can get them to through in. check the service records wheel and deal your 90,000 service in ,and have it checked out by a good mechanic.
  10. awsome info here gang it helped me out alot, and i didnt even have to ask.
  11. Which Toyo's? And yes, Michelin's are notorious for being one of the most expensive brands you can buy. ;) ← proxes tpt's lexus $125.00 on performanceplus.com since tirerack dont carry toyo or they would have best internet price .
  12. :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: I'M GETTING SOOOOOO CONFUSED !!!!!!!!! LOL
  13. I think a Ford Model T's tires would be light years ahead of the Potenza's! lol ← amen. i hate potenzas with a passion. If you have purchased the falkens, you made an great choice. $88 a tire isnt that bad, if you look at other tires the same size going for $150 or more. i just put a set of falkens on my GF's car yesterday, in 205-55-R16, the cheapest tire i could find was $115. then i found a place local who sold falkens, and they were $76 a piece. thats a good bit of difference when multiplied by 4. And i would stay LIGHT YEARS away from the kuhmo's. personal reasons. ← Thats a fact army multiply times four its a big diff. Plus the fact you are getting a very compairable tire also. My 215 50 17's were 75.00 a tire free shipping I thought that rocked. I think the toyo was $125.00, and mx4 was $145.00 so I am happy at this point now I will see how they ride. thanks guys
  14. zin, Debates on air, oil & oil filters are never ending on this site lol Like I am talking huge threads! It just comes down to what you like using personally & what your comfortable with. There really is no wrong answer per se........all the products are of very good quality & 'brand name'. Me, if you did a search, you will notice that I use to use Mobil 1 with a M1 filter.......I have since switched to Amsoil ASL 5W 30, along with the Amsoil filter (longer drain intervals for both over M1 & have done the same in my wife's 'new' 2003 Forester). I also use a K & N air filter.......this is my 3rd in as many cars & I have never experenced any problems with it......like someone mentioned, the good thing about K & N is it should be your last filter you buy.......just follow the instruction to the letter when it comes to cleaning & re-oiling.....don't saturate the thing with oil or chances are you will have problems. ;) I have either made your decision more complicated or more simple......I hope it was the ladder. Good luck with your choices! B) ← guys I did searches and just got too confused thats is why I asked my question the way that I did. You all helped my desicion has been made oem air and oil filter I am a happy man , thankyou!. I just said about buying my car with 90,000 miles I dont know what parts to use to replace the ones on the vehicle? I could just go with the manual but sometimes a better product is out there and I just want to hear peoples opinions thats all. I can make a desicion I just may get very thorough because I am handicap and have nothing but time. but I thankyou for all your input.
  15. Research all you want and then tell us about your opinions of the products that you decided on instead of asking for opinions, Maybe that would be a better aproach with your inability to make a decision on your own. You ask+we tell=you decide then tell us your opinion. I'm done with this. ← I dont understand what you are saying dc but I got the info I was looking for. I am very happy for all the help maybe you miss understood something I said but I thank all who have helped me. As I said I dont know much about the better products to use on my car so its great to get the help .
  16. I don't know if this is going to work but, I will attempt to post a picture. ← Is that the Blue Shale Mica colour? B) ← now that is a beautiful car, something I would be washing with a smile...
  17. I think the price you are looking at is the same price you will pay for a 1 owner well cared for car so if its not fitting that bill personaly I would keep looking. Most people either have there service records or at least used there lexus dealers for some service so I prefer a paper trail myself with any older or high mileage cars, just my opinion.
  18. Now tell me what you really think? lol this is what I need hard core facts not do whatever you feel is best stuff. thanks toysrme.
  19. Do yourself a favor and buy a OEM original toyota filter and call it a day. I have a K&N in my GS and factory toyota in my ES and am happy with both. The differences and gains have been discussed to no end , So it is to each his/her own choice. ;) ← See guys now thats the info I needed to hear simple as that ....THANKYOU !!! ← One more thing I am running mobil 1 and plan to change it every 5-6 months should I change air filter to? ← Change the air filter when you can't see light through it. Change the oil in recomended mile intervals with a new oil filter everytime. ← How bout oil filters?? stick with toyota or go to k&n or another?

  22. I have added questions to other posts but I am not getting any answers so please explain to me what air filter should I run in my 96 es 300 with 90,000 miles that I just purchased a few months ago? What I dont understand is the k&n filter is $45.00 and up and the oem denso or toyota filter is like $17.00 and up depending on where you buy. So what are the differences and how often do I need to change it?I know nothing about the quality or benefits of any air ac trany ,any filter over the other so please help me to run my car the best way i can. thanks
  23. So what are you saying ? Use oem $17.00 filters and dont use k&n 45.00 filters?I am just trying to learn what replacement parts are best to use on my car! I dont have an opiniuon or a care either way just what is best and how often it needs to be replaced or re-oiled whatever.
