  1. So you just pop that unit out and in the good key shell huh? Looks easy enough just hope it is ty very much.
  2. I can open it up but yes the key is afixed in plastic best I can see anyway. To change the battery I open it up by taking out small screw and battery rests inside unit i guess you could say.
  3. funny you would say that i just received an email from tpyneed, and they say the same thing although I never knew this could be done . I did see you say this is EASY??/ lol tell me more please?
  4. Very well could be ,but mine does have the little button on the side as i bought a new key that i have to reprogram but have no idea as to how to get my original working key into that new reprogramed key head. Unless I try dremeling it out but really dont want to do that..ps thanks for the site the partsyouneed they seem to have it all.
  5. CRAIG,Check out the dunlop winter sport m3 I would buy these for my car in a second.
  6. Both cars have seperate remotes. (not connected to key) The fobs look similar but have different FCC numbers. ← BUMMER!!! THANKS
  7. Ouch! I'm afraid your age is your biggest enemy here bud. That's outrageous. That's $7205.52 per year! :o ← Thats just crazy!! Insurance can't be that much must be a typo??? I would hope..
  8. I would check out ebay they have tons of wheels for lexus cars and many are oem aluminum that people are getting rid of cuz they went chrome. You can get some good deals on these rims as they almost all will fit your car. 5 x 5.4 is the same as 5 x 114.3 I found out also. I would think a 17 x 7 or 7.5 will be fine for the winter . I am not sure what hieght tire you can go with on your car you will have to call tirerack.com or others and ask. I would think a thiner tire may not look near as nice but its for the winter so its got to work thats all.You will probably be buying your rims seperate since you will be puting winter tires on them.
  9. NICE LEXUS VERY NICE INFO. Mine are about 8 ft from my furnace,go figure!!, And my wine cellar is full of wine and to small.
  10. Original equipment is 17's. Plus your fronts are 225 x 45's and rear are 245 x 45's that tire size is going to push alot of snow.... bolt size is 5x114.3 i beleive as most all toyotas are the same. puting different wheels on may able you to drive a thiner tire that will go through the snow better.
  11. MIKE, kenosha is quite a waze from Appleton but the place is ,,,, HOERNEL LOCK AND KEY...12625529698 Did you get a uncut key with a working remote off ebay?I purchased one myself for 70.00 but it was from the scammer autopimp so I never got anything. Let me know if I can help.
  12. What year es do you have? I have been trying to get a new remote cuz mine doesnt work at all ,and I only got the one with my car. Do you have a sperate key with a remote head on it that opens the doors and another that works your engine?
  13. So then you would have one key to open and lock the doors and another key to run the car? Is there a way to put the good key blade on the good remote?
  14. How did you get the key out of the plastic head?/ Or maybe yours is different than mine. I have a 96 es 300 and my little black button doesnt open, close doors so I bought another key on ebay thinking I could switch key blades if the remote could be programed, but I have no idea how to get the old key blade out. ANY SUGESTIONS ANYONE?/
  15. YOU ARE THE WINING BIDDER ON THESE??? That is a unreal deal buddy.... congrats!!!
  16. How much is the shipping before $75.00? ← I really dont know lexus ... $75.00 doesnt seem to hard to hit so i never looked...
  17. Your miles are sooo low though . Thats a bigg selling point hope you enjoy
  18. Whats hard to understand is how you said it..... which is go with 37lbs in a 40 series low frofile tire. Now you could be 100% right but I would think a 16 inch low profile 40 tire compaired to an 18 inch low profile tire would not be 37lbs. Nor would it be if its a 205 as to a 245? but I could be wrong. My rule of thumb is adjust the maxx preasure by lowering it about 5lbs you should be pretty good.
  19. If tire rack is not saving you any money I feel you are doing great then. Personaly any of what you said are a more costly tire and you should be happy but I would stick with the turanzas. Unless you want to save some money go with falkens they are good in the snow to I am hearing . I just bought two sets myself.
  20. Well that is some great news thankyou very much. I would never of thought sears would do that .
  21. Look on your tire for maxx tire presure and drop it about 5lbs. read other threads also have this info!! ← I hope you're kidding about that. ← Could you explain why? ← So what are you saying? I am saying as a gerneral rule whatever the maxx presure is on the side wall of the tire take about 5lbs off. I am not talking about any door sticker as the original question was asked it was NOT refering to stock tires, and what does 37 psi on a 40 profile tire have to do with anything? You never said what the maxx tire presure is on that tire? A good all around tire pressure, to start with, would be 35 PSI. If a tire has a max PSI of 55, I certainly wouldn't run it at -5 or 50 PSI. For example, the rear tires on my IS350 are 255/40/R18 and they run at 37 PSI. I think that's a pretty low profile. ←
  22. I dont know what size tire you have but my guess is if you went on discounttiredirect.com you would have got your same tires delivered to your door for $300.00 and all you had to do is get them instaled..
