  1. If the noise is still there, bring it back to them. here is a check list from my dealer when they did my rattle: Install noise kit, Install wind noise kit. Install felt on dashboard pins, windshield cowl, AC vents, where dashboard comes in contact with the firewall and remove windshield clips. Have your dealer perform the whole list and the noise should be gone. Good Luck
  2. You can use voice command, it will still work while driving.
  3. There is a setting on the setup button: Time before switch back to Nav screen or something like that, just choose never.
  4. I tried sewell lexus B4, they are pretty good, their website is lexus-parts.com. They have a store in ebay also.
  5. Seriously, its not close to a BMW in handling. If you want a car that handles like a BMW, then you need to buy a BMW. If you want something that almost handle as well as a BMW, then you need to look at Audi and Infinity. Then again, BMW's inerior is not as nice, cost $10000+ more and its not as luxurious as a Lexus.
  6. Panel removal tool: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UkZKZxsTzo3/A...aspx?i=18187650 Some are made of plastic. I always break at least 1 clip even with the right tool :)
  7. Member123, try another Lexus dealer, most Lexus dealer are pretty good. daepp, Lexus just release a TSB for the starting problem, talk to your dealer.
  8. Here you go ahearn: http://www.lextasy.com/new-gs-ash-tray-conversion-kit.htm
  9. I thought the GX has front skid plate from the factory.
  10. I think Lexus does have a way to disable the auto wiper and have the adjustment work as a intermittent wiper, I remember someone else had this done at their dealer. Of course a auto and a intermittent notch would be ideal.
  11. Yeah, the rain sensor dont always work well in light rain or snow.
  12. Well that sux, I dont know whats worst, pulling over to enter a address or a slow GPS. On the other hand, the newer Lexus GPS does have a voice command " address " and then you enter address by voice command when you are moving. It works pretty good for me.
  13. Way too early for a rendering of what the next generation of GS might look like. Rumor has it that it will be re-design for the 2011 model year and a Lexus supercar, the GS-F will be produce based on that redesign in the year 2012. http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_ne...2012_lexus_gs_f
  14. pepsico725, I see that you own a Audi A6. I almost bought on of those. Very nice car, fast, handles well and a very nice looking interior.
  15. I own a 08 GS350, no vibration at all at the stop light. Cant even tell if my engine is on or not if I dont look at the tach.
  16. I know 2 years ago, Lexus and other remote starter have many issue dealing with keyless ignitions. I am not sure if all the issues have been resolved yet. With the price of gas these days, hardly anyone use remote starter anymore.
  17. The GS competes with the M series, not the G series. The G maybe faster than the GS, but the interior on the G is several notches below the GS. I test drove the M when I bought the GS, its a differnce class of car really. It handles great but the ride was very stiff, worst than a BMW. The Infinity is more like a poor man's BMW and the GS is design to have a good mix of Luxury and performance and still try to maintain a comfortable ride.
  18. Usually, they just use a bigger screw or a plastic anchor.
  19. Lol, I agree, test drive the GS and then a BMW, that way you know for sure. The 460 is quick, faster than a BMW 335i, but does not handle as well. Even when the 460's suspension is in the sports mode, its not even close to the BMW handling wise. If your priority is handling, not luxury, then you should really look at a BMW. While Audi and Infinity have a good mix between handling and luxury.
  20. Toyota 4 runner V8 has the same VVTI engines and it recommands 87 octane.
  21. Jones357, as long as you are happy with your car, thats all that matters. As you said, what I stated was the obvious difference between a Lexus and a BMW, but I was merely reponding to your post which stated the same.
  22. I think thats a light sensor for the gauge lense dimming function.
  23. Ask him to should you the back up camera on another GS. MY GS350 do not have a block view on the lower right corner.
  24. Toyotafan1, you maybe able to get by with snow tires on the GS430, but it still a RWD car. It really depends on how much snow you want to be able to drive in. 2 or 3 inches of the light stuff, it may be ok. It will not be as good as the RX in the snow. Why not look at the GS350 AWD, it has more horsepower than the 430 and it has AWD.
